Zabbix 2.4 powered by Abookaa
Abookaa | 3.2Linux/Unix, Amazon Linux Kernel 4.4 - 64-bit Amazon Machine Image (AMI)
Smooth installation, however, instance restart prevents Zabbix server from starting
After restarting the instance, the dashboard indicates the Zabbix server is not running. I had to edit the zabbix_server.conf file to update the MySQL password. After this fix, everything is working well.

Any plans for Zabbix 3.0
Are there already any plans to upgrade your AWS AMI for Zabbix to the new version 3? Would be great.
Works perfectly
Hmmm, twenty words about how it works perfectly... Well, I'm not super-advanced, and I was able to get it to work, so I'd say it is great.
Flawless
Installation was fast and worked immediately.
Some folks complain about passwords, and I believe that is due to confusion about where to use passwords. The username/pw described in the instructions are for access to the web UI for the Zabbix installation. The root logon for the CentOs installation is ec2-user.
If you have never connected to a linux ec2 instance it can be a bit confusing, but this installation works exactly as it should.
After 10+ years installing and managing Zabbix, it was quite refreshing to instantly turn on an instance in AWS.
Well done Abookaa!
Log-In problem after installation
Installation works perfectly.
But: Login does not work. Neither "Admin" nor "admin" with default pw "zabbix" (or "Zabbix") are accepted. :(
If anyone has made it through, please leave a comment on that post.
Great
Works great. Username is Admin, and not admin (as appear at Zabbix documentation).
Zabbix itself is rather complicated to configure properly.
Waste of time
AMI installs but default Zabbix username and password to web interface do not work.
Tried to get help but the link to Abooka "support" takes you to "404 not found"
