ProMedia Carbon MP
Harmonic Inc | 3.22PWindows, Windows 2008 R2 x64 - 64-bit Amazon Machine Image (AMI)
10 hours to encode 9 (3 minutes) videos
It took me 10 hours to transcode 9 (3 minutes videos). All videos had the black bands on all four sides even when I matched the pixels(therefore unuseable).
I called Harmonic and below was their email response

Great Product but Expensive
This product does exactly what the local server product "Rhozet Carbon Coder" does. It has just about every filter you can imagine, including an audio normalizing filter that lets you set your LKFS loudness level to comply with recent FCC regulations.
For our purposes, we only use in small volume and the price really does beat you up after a while. Not only is it $69.00 a month, but you are charged for every hour your EC2 instance is running. If it were just the normal EC2 charges, it wouldn't be that bad, but on top of that, ProMedia Carbon charges another "Software" charge for every hour your Instance is running and that cost is almost 4 times as much. For 25 hours of usage my bill was $103.25.
I have no other choice because there is no other service like this and I don't want to fork out $5000 or more to purchase the product.
A great product if you can afford it.
