Not sure what the other reviewers issues were, but worked for me. You must remember to target port :8443 after your domain name to see the Plesk control panel.

I then launched the installer script in the home directory after doing an SU to gain administrator rights. I then installed the free 20 day trial license xml file from Parallels website and used the supplied utilities in /usr/local/psa/bin/ including the admin user password and license installer.

Works fine on a free EC2 instance. Not the fastest but fully functional nonetheless.

Parallels Plesk does not work

  • October 13, 2014

Plesk is tied to the original IP address used in creating this image. Also, the command to change PSA IP address is missing from the image. Results in all sorts of errors and basically does not work. Better to install from a clean standard Centos image.

Be warned

Cloudlinux will not support this product when you are unable to make it work with Amazon EC2 and VPC.

They say it is a Plesk issue and not covered.

Problem is that domains are not served, likely due to EIP/Internal IP confusion?

Using the internal IP 10.0.0.x is what should be used ( and is ) but the "Cloudlinux Test Page" is all that gets served.

Pity too, really wanted to use CL. :-(

The Marketplace solution offered directly from Parallels DOES WORK out of the box. You would do better to check out that instead.
