Restcomm - the best cloud communication platform
Restcomm is great solution for cloud based on Twilio APIs. It is the best open source built on top of Mobicents.
Realtor's new best friend
I work at a nation wide real estate brokerage firm focused on charter schools projects. Coordinating our backend workflow with a heavy stream of daily phone calls and messages between our associates, clients and vendors has been a major logistical challenge.
We did some prototyping with Twilio, which showed promising results for the possibilities with modern telephony APIs. However we already had in place a prior relationship with VI who offer great call rates and top notch support. Unfortunately we were not able to work out a way to connect VI and Twilio without a high premium. The pricing gap was too wide and the numbers weren't working out.
Restcomm for VI is the best of both worlds. We've been monitoring the development of Restcomm in the Open Source Community and highly anticipated the release of this AMI.
First open source Coummunication as a service offer
As the first open source Coummunication as a service offer, witht the launch of this offer in AMI, the AWS cloud have the capability to build the commnuiation service on public cloud.
Finally a REST enabled telephony platform for AWS
We've been looking for a flexible telephony platform for awhile. The public services like Twilio and Tropo are great, but don't quite work with us because of HIPAA privacy guidelines. An AMI that we can run on EC2 or our private Open Stack cloud is ideal.
Great AMI, have my own Twilio in a Box now
The AMI was started very easily with little involvements needed in setting it up and could test it right away with the test application before starting playing with it. It's a great AMI for Twilio in a Box and integrating communications features in any applications.
