Probably good for experienced SP admins
The proposition of generating a test instance of SharePoint for the purposes of solution development & testing was & is very appealing to me. Though I was able to deploy this instance based on the instructions provided, without intimate knowledge of SP system administration I was unable to do much with it. I spent a few days trying to solve for things like user authentication methods, app fabric caching & the distributed cache, but in the end I got lost in these configurations & never made it to working on custom user solutions. I may return to my studies & come back to this once I better understand how to manage the underlying infrastructure. For beginners, I would encourage you to first study SQL, SharePoint architectures, & SharePoint System Administration before deploying this software. One major downside I'll call out is that the claim of free troubleshooting/customer service (can't remember exactly how it was worded) doesn't actually have a working email address (it bounced when I tried to reach out). Overall I appreciate this service, but I think there's room to improve & target Citizen Dev's like me who are just learning. Many thanks to Data Resolutions for the trial!

SharePoint in AWS will resolve many issues
Getting a SharePoint developer machine in big enterprise takes times. Sometimes it will take weeks to month depend on the complexity of the environment. Having SharePoint in AWS will reduce the time to one day.
