Datomizer S3NAS - Takes the worries away regarding HIPPA and PPI data
I want to say right off the bat I am an Azure person and new to AWS. I have been testing Datomizer on prem and in Azure and was curious to see how the AWS Marketplace version stacked up. After a couple of false starts I was able to get it up and running within 10-20 minutes. Since I was already familiar with the product I was more concerned about how it would perform. I was very pleased to see it performed as well as my tests did on prem and in Azure. Our potential use for Datomizer is for offsite storage/distribution of data (including pictures/images). Knowing how the data is atomized there's no concern about what kind of data is being stored (e.g. HIPPA or PII) since it is "unrecoverable" at any location without all the pieces put back together. I like that I can pick/mix my storage providers AND locations AND that Datomia works with all their low cost storage options!

My experience with Datomizer S3NAS – Virtual Vault for AWS
My organization was using S3 in order to transfer data from HQ (US Based) to a production site in India. At the time the volume was relatively low and the transmitted data was not considered sensitive.
As the business evolved, we started personalizing our products with "Secrets" (i.e. keys, algorithms, certificates) and the volume increased significantly. a lot of production response data has been accumulated on a daily basis and our existing S3 based solution didn't hold up.
We had to move forward to a more robust and secured solution since our "sneakernet" approach was insecure, out-dated and most of all - irrelevant to our current business needs. We have evaluated several options but most of them were extremely expensive or very complicated to implement. We ended up choosing the "Datomizer S3NAS – Virtual Vault for AWS" which gave us total flexibility, saved us money and on top-of all - we now feel like we have a partner to scale our operation while creating full confidence for our customers.

It's a really good alternative for online/cloud backup solution for us.
It's easy to setup and seems very secure indeed.
