Please update this to the newest Windows version 1709!

The version 1709 - Fall, Creator's Update was released on 1/18/2018 - Now, more than 2 months later, this image hasn't yet been updated!

I need this update for providing .NET Framework 4.7.1 builtin. Updating the framework from this AMI requires a reboot - which I can't do, since I use the ami directly in a Launch Configuration for an autoscaling group.
Now, I have to make my own AMI with sysprep - which is *SLOW* to start up, due to an extra forced boot during the sysprep process. Working with Windows images is a *PAIN*. I think I'll start looking at using container's for my IIS servers instead.

It would be very handy if AWS at the very least would publish a release schedule for planned updates of their Windows images.

Please, also list the Windows VERSION of the AMI - like 1607, 1709 etc.

Old outdated version of Windows Server 2016

This version of Windows Server 2016 is outdated and is only 1607. Microsoft released version 1709 two months ago with fixes for DNS routing mesh, which is used in Docker Swarm container orchestration. Please update to 1709 so we can use Windows Server 2016 and Docker Swarm overlay networking sufficiently.
