hard to get any support, cost is too high
Product itself works, just a standard Cisco router wrapped in EC2 instance.
The problem is that starting 2022, we were not able to renew the yearly software contract. We thought if we migrate to the latest AMI version 17.03.08a, then we can purchase 1 year contract.
No no, not at all, we were surprised to get error indicating the contract is not available for our "geo location" only the moment we were ready to pay upfront fee.
According to AWS team, Cisco restricts yearly software contract to limited geo locations, they could have communicated that on their product page.
Our inquiry to Cisco never receive any feedback.
So our CSR instance is charged on-demand hourly, now cost $4K+ yearly on t2.medium instance type, instead of $2K+ yearly on the software contract.
Knowing that an on-premise Cisco router only cost $1K+.

Avoid Cisco on MarketPlace
This server looks great on the paper.
It does not support ikev1 (only ikev2). Impossible to speak to the Cisco Support as the server is registered to "CONTINENTAL RESOURCES INC."
I bought a yearly subscription for $1.940. It is a scam!
