no tools
This strange version of kali on aws doesnt come witha any penetrating tools.
I suppose they will fix this beacuse its really annoying
You can install the tools with the metapackages, very simple and works fine. For example: sudo apt update sudo apt -y install kali-linux-core sudo apt -y install kali-tools-headless This got me almost everything I needed to get started but still had to manually install some things like ncat, binwalk. I didn't want the complete kali-linux-default Complete list of all metapackages: https://tools.kali.org/kali-metapackages
