What do you like best about the product?
Efficiency is much better compared to other OS. My backend server runs much faster with ubuntu compared to windows with same hardware configuration, and it's easy to install and maintain different software packages with ubuntu.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no option for creating a new file after right click. UI needs a lot of improvement and windows has a far better UI compared to this.

It's very efficient compared to other OS like Windows and is more secure.

What do you like best about the product?
Ubuntu is very feature rich as compared to other linux OS, If you want to learn linux just install linux as your personal OS and do whatever you want.
What do you dislike about the product?
As Ubuntu is very famous and feature rich and has very stable operations it still glitches some times in UI but slowly it will become part of your learning.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Linux has solved many problems in the these times of computing and AI. As nothing comes free nowadays like Microsoft's Windows and Apples MacOS they are paid and very limited for the users. A simple user can not interfere with system files but Ubuntu solves that problem too because it is an open source Operating System. but there are many linux open source Operating Systems, then why Ubuntu?
Here are some very major problems ubuntu solving:
Ubuntu is Open-source and free to download and install, and it is very versatile you can install in most of the computers nowadays, Ubuntu is very UI friendly, and it is more secure than other OS it has builtin Antivirus and firewall, It is also very customizable you can customize UI or any system based operation or action.

The Best Linux Distribution I ever saw

  • December 31, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ubuntu is a Linux distribution just like many others, it comes with utilites and apps out of the box, it feels like having any normal operating system, it's open-source, completely free to use, and it's so so lightweight, so it could be a great solution for any old laptop you got at home.
What do you dislike about the product?
Like, Ubuntu is great and I seriously have think nothing is bad about it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I installed Ubuntu on my Windows laptop as Windows isn't the right operating system for advanced developers, WSL just slows your PC down and having a Linux running normally is way better.

Review for ubuntu

  • December 19, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's free, open source operating system.
It is user friendly and best suitable for cloud computing and applications
What do you dislike about the product?
Less stability
Restrictions on apps as compared to windows
Not compatible with a few software or hosting panels such as cPanel
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using ubuntu as operating system for the cloud servers.
With centsOS coming to an end the use of ubuntu has increased in users.
With supported panels non technical users can also handle it.
Also as it is users friendly can be easily customized and users can download it anytime on their own servers

Debian without the sharp corners - stable and easy to work with

  • December 15, 2023
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that Ubuntu is based on Debian and inherits the excellent package managemnt features as well as the stability first philosophy. what Ubuntu adds is a bit more rational usability and focus on easy of implementation and features for end-users.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't think if anything I particularly dislike about Ubuntu other than the UI, which is not as important to me as I use it as a server/dev environment. The UI I feel they just wanted to deign something that was different to Windows and OSX and force their own deign forward. Of course it's possible to rip it out and install another desktop, but then you might was well just use Mint or another linux distribution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ubuntu brings me the power of a linux based operating system with out so much messing around with drivers and configuration just to get the basics working.
