My ha proxy review
What do you like best about the product?
Very stable efficient and production ready open source load balancer.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is really nothing i dislike with ha proxy. I just spend some time to learn how to use it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Load balance for databases rabbit mq MongoDB for instances.

Nothing much, maybe give more visibility about the traffic and propose an UI

It's easy to run. Very stable, also open source and has a aligning features. Still my favorite solution for Loadbalancing

Debugging isn't that easy. Configurations that run into empty routes are tricky to troubleshoot.

Redirecting egress Traffic, Openshift Ingress, TLS
Easy to use, easy to master
What do you like best about the product?
As a long time Linux user, setting up HAProxy to suit my needs is incredibly easy, and the versatility and speed of it makes it perfect for our needs. With IP range filtering and API whitelisting it does the job we used multiple applications for before switching to HAProxy.

I have not found any downsides to using HAProxy yet

API whitelisting and conditional IP range filtering
Gap Roxy is a great product for both onprem and cloud installations

Flexibility of proxy and good community as well as documentation

Sometimes rules becomes too complex and big. It would be nice to get some abstraction

It just works. It's easy to setup and easy to maintain. They have extensive documentation and excellent customer support.

We could probably use some more tutorials that go along the documentation. Many features you need to figure out yourself how to use them, but if you're an Enterprise customer you can always rely on their support.

We use it as central ingress which routes traffic to our backend. We use it for TLS offloading and load balancing.
