Netfoundry in an IOT world
NetFoundry provides us with the capability to offer our customers next generation secure cloud capable connectivity.
As an IOT integrator, we encounter the need for full flexibility in securely connecting services and devices between public and private clouds, Edge and Core.
Full Stack IOT deployments require a flexibility and automation that is difficult to achieve and inherently expensive with traditional technologies such as VPNâÂÂs and MPLS.
We are firm believers in fully automated deployments that can deploy complex full stack IOT services from source code and artifacts where we talk about minutes instead of hours. This includes everything from actual services to full infrastructure and network.
NetFoundry fits within the networking part of this flexibility by ensuring we can integrate the automation frameworks with the API.
One of the great challenges facing the IOT services today are on how to implement security on the connectivity layer in a cost-effective manner. This requires a next generation networking approach, which is what we believe NetFoundry can offer with their software defined perimeter approach.
Maintaining zero trust and least privilege access in a world that is increasingly moving towards dynamically changing containerized services is pivotal, which is yet again where NetFoundry scores with its capability to integrate with automation frameworks via itâÂÂs API.
Massive traffic ingest are typical use cases for IOT customers, which is where cost usually becomes a contention point with security. We feel this is again a point where NetFoundry provides an innovative solution by leveraging their Appwan and application level micro-segmentation.
