A Comprehensive Review of Blackboard Learning Management System
What do you like best about the product?
Its accessibility. Vision Ireland is Ireland's national sight loss charity. Digital accessibility is essential to us and we use Blackboard as our LMS because it of how accessibilt the platform and course content is to users with disabilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
Navigating to the course catalogue to browse available courses / enrol in a course could be made more straighforward.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is providing an accessible virtual learning environment for service users and staff of Vision Ireland to avail of a wide variety of courses.

What do you like best about the product?
It is convenient for all course-hybrid-F2F-online-blended. I am able to do everyting such as post online lectures, notes, powerpoints, and any info for my course.
What do you dislike about the product?
Ability to not have accent marks and the character map. It would be easier for the students to have this options or a default.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to be able to continue online courses with ease. It benfits me becasue I am now paperless, all notes, ectures, and assignments are online.
Learning experience with pedagogy at it's heart
What do you like best about the product?
Learn ultra is clearly designed with ease for the learner and tutor at it's heart. The new AI tools are underpinned by strong pedagogical principles, designed to help the tutor with idea generation, taking some of the legwork out of designing strong formative assessment and feedback tools.
The platform is continuously growing in response to customer feedback and since the merge with anthology is clearly placing learners needs at the heart of everything it does.

What do you dislike about the product?
From an admin perspective the systems are still a bit outdated. It would be nice for those to get an overhaul on a par with the learning experience. I don't want to have to jump through hoops and add myself to courses in order to assist my users with copying content over for instance. But I'm sure these changes will come with time
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is providing a secure space for assessment information and submission, as well as providing additional context outside of the lecture environment for our students to study from.

What do you like best about the product?
Blackboard is great for providing resources. Whether a class or organization, you can publish material and even communicate with the audience through blackboard. It is well integrated with email system so, emails are delivered to you promptly

It is very prone to glitches. it is often very slow and makes it hard to use especially the mobile app

It provides a way to communicate with a specific group of people, providing them with tools and resources.

I liked Blackboard learning which helped me getting all things in one place, which is a great backbone for the teachers.

Sometime I feel it is old fashioned and messy, for new user it is little bit tough to identify the options available in BlackBoard. I guess Blackboard need to be bit user friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I felt it helped me alot in keepingeverything organised, where it was useful in managing materials, assignments and testing at one place.

Highly intuitive

Packed with features, is decent to use after a while.
What do you dislike about the product?
Bad UI, too many features that can be overwhelming, and things are not appropriately placed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a TA, it provides a one-stop solution for grading, and making announcements. As a student, it provides a decent platform to submit and view assignments.

I really like the User interface and features available on their platform.

Sometimes it works slow and it has less partnerships with popular teachers.
