  • April 20, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Best part about EKS is you do not need to manage the control plane you just need to consume it and deploy your applications
What do you dislike about the product?
At the time of upgrade from one version to another version sometimes EKS breaks
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us to deploy and manage our containerised applications. Process of deployment is very smooth

Very basic implementation of kubernetes

  • April 18, 2023
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Integration with other services available on AWS.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is a very basic implementation. Some features, like auto-scaling using metrics, is missing by default. Also, they intentionally downplayed experience to promote their other service (ECS).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides cloud-native container orchestration platform for deploying your workloads. It is allowing us to deploy our workloads across multiple cloud provider without vendor lockin.

Best managed Kubernetes service

  • March 24, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Earlier we were using EC2 to host our application backend APIs but our main problem was scaling, in peak hours we used to replicate our application on some other EC2s an update the traffic from Nginx settings, but this manual effort was hectic and random. So to minimise this issue we adopted EKS, it autoscales our system, we are using HPA for that, also it has nominal cost.
What do you dislike about the product?
Overall I haven't seen any disadvantage yet, but sometimes debuging it's issue becomes over head, like backoffs error, livelines, readiness errors, but its best practice to adopt this feature for best user experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had scaling issue for our backend APIs but after adopting this we were able to solve this, we can autoscale on memory, CPU usage and network traffic, thats all what we looking for.

Top Managed Kubernetes Service

  • March 17, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It requires absolutely zero or no maintenance. AWS itself takes care of everything and can be easily integrated with other AWS Managed Services such as EFS, EBS, IAM, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
It doesn't let us access master nodes since those are managed by Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service itself but it would be great if it allows us to access master nodes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- It lets us not worry about the Infrastructure part of Kubernetes
- It pushes metrics and logs to CloudWatch and we can visualize metrics in a such a convenient way in CloudWatch Dashboards.

Kubernetes management and use made easy via eks

  • February 27, 2023
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Being the regular user of Amazon eks what I like the most about eks is it is fully managed, having master slave architecture master is fully managed by aws team, you just need to take care of your own slave nodes.
This enables the user to focus on actual problem and eks deployments instead of managing the eks only.
What do you dislike about the product?
Production infrastructure needs to be highly available and stable when eks used in production infrastructure it needs to be stable, there are some instance where eks goes down and I turn affects the pods running in them.
Example being :- If vpc cni goes in degrade state it affects the whole eks cluster this should be managed by eks team with zero down time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Containers are the future, application deployment on elastic kubernetes service are highly available making deployment super fast and reliable.
Problem solved:- High speed of deployments and easier rollbacks in case of failure.

Easy to install and configure Kubernetes infrastructure on Amazon with EKS

  • January 16, 2023
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- Easy to install and configure
- Less operational work
- Stable and reliable
- You don't need to manage master node
What do you dislike about the product?
There are not many dislikes, but i can tell EKS does not have an auto-update feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Orchestrate your containers, and also you do not need to manage the control plane of Kubernetes. It reduces the operational works for Development Team.

My best Cloud service provider

  • January 13, 2023
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I've been a cloud engineer for a year and continue working on AWS as my cloud service provider. One of the best things that I like about AWS is:
1: its easy-to-use UI and one of the best features is its services; AWS provides almost every product and software engineering service.
2:one thing I would like to highlight at the end is its cost is significantly less as compared to other service providers.
3: AWS has more compliance certifications and security-related services than others.
4:AWS has rich documentation and support, making it easy for users to get started and troubleshoot any issues. AWS offers a range of support plans, including 24/7 support for critical issues of its users.
What do you dislike about the product?
1:AWS offers per-hour billing, and the data transmission format is generally encrypted in the case of its competitor; I sometimes feel insecure.
2:One more thing I dislike about AWS takes 15-20 mins to spin up a simple website.
3:AWS is a proprietary platform; once an application is built on AWS, it can be challenging to migrate to another cloud platform, which may limit users' flexibility and increase costs in the long run.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
AWS solving the problem of Infrastructure on demand , initially we need to buy huge servers now we don't need to buy any physical servers we can just simply scale depending on our needs , now in times of sales one of my clients they use AWS now sales season very high crowd visits their website and after-sales period sales drop to normal rate so they can't predict the number of customers and they cant buy large physical server without knowing the numbers ,so here AWS helped us to scale in and out depending on their need.
