PX HUMAN Bot Defender as extra protection for our Laybuy web and mobile applications
What do you like best about the product?
It doesn't require complex integration on the client sides. Its work is almost transparent and decisions are rather accurate
What do you dislike about the product?
- there is no immediate feedback if something goes wrong. Something like automatic spike detection and comparing statistics with previous period

Easy to use product with a fast responding, observant team
What do you like best about the product?
So far, the team is responding incredibly fast to our questions, no matter if it is an emergency like an attack or just a question about backend operations. They also came to us multiple times if they observed some unusual traffic on some of our routes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since there is some artificial intelligence involved in the detection, it takes a while until the product is fully usable. Since it is integrated into our shop, it can't prevent ddos bot attacks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use the tool mostly to prevent scraping bots to access our site and automated buyers to enter lotteries and buy all of some special products. Compared to our previous solution, page loading speed has increased, since it is integrated into our website instead of an extra layer.

The Portal.

What do you dislike about the product?
Setting up the initial configuration of BD, whether on-premises or in a cloud infrastructure, can sometimes entail multiple troubleshooting sessions to ensure it aligns with your expectations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As an online ticketing provider, we encounter a significant volume of bot traffic. These bots not only attempt to purchase high-value tickets for resale in the secondary market but also engage in tactics to artificially inflate ticket prices for the same event in that market. Human Bot Defender has been instrumental in mitigating ticketing bots and identifying their behavior when attempting to generate fake demand.

What do you like best about the product?
The support team is always prompt when it comes to new issues, every time we create a case we receive an initial response within minutes and support within the hour.
What do you dislike about the product?
The dashboard is still a bit limited/basic. Having more options for creating security configurations would help, especially the ability to see the history of our changes (self-serve + HUMAN) long-term so that we can diagnose if recent changes are affecting our business.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
HUMAN is helping us lower the amount of bots that are purchasing our stock, ensuring more of our customers have a fair chance at hot-release items. On top of that, we are able to mitigate large-scale DDoS attacks, keeping our origin server up and running.
Low fuss bot protection that works
What do you like best about the product?
It's nice and simple to integrate the sensor and once that's in, the handoff to HUMAN to manage bots is seamless. Bot Defender does a great job of protecting us against potentially harmful spikes and their team will give us a full report after the fact, breaking down what happened.
The fact that the team are always on hand and available to look into issues is also a massive bonus. We can reach out via chat channels and have a ticket logged and assigned immediately.
The web UI, once you get to grips with it, is really quite intuitive and provides many options to find exactly what you're after.

What do you dislike about the product?
The UI could take some getting used to for new users and once you get the hang of it you may wish there was just one extra filter to really get the information you were looking for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bot Defender monitors all the traffic to our web application and does a fantastic job at blocking malicious attacks. It means we can focus on other day-to-day tasks, safe in the knowledge that HUMAN is going to manage the rest.

The protection across multiple.domains and allows you to manage rules within the interface

I think the user interface could be more intuitive

What do you like best about the product?
Bot defender continues to shield us from scripters, mitigating 90-95% of the issues, which is very helpful for our site stability team.
The integration was seamless on the web, but we ran into difficulty with native apps (native and react native). They quickly offered to collaborate with their developers, who were very helpful and either fixed issues on the spot on our side or quickly produced patches.

What do you dislike about the product?
The user experience solving captchas is sub par. Sometimes they can come in succession and seem unnecessarily repetative sometimes. We are keeping fingers crossed that 3.0 version will be an improvement, and so far, a few weeks in, it appears to be!

A Great Solution

Bot Defender gives us confidence in knowing our site is protected, while also giving us the tools to monitor ourselves if needed.

The UI at times may be a bit clunky, especially after long times on a single page

With a high trafficked, large, website, we are exposed to many threats. Bot Defender allows us to spend less time actively addressing attacks, and more time working towards solutions and initiatives that will benefit our customers
Awesome Bot Forensics
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is incredible smooth with full drill down to achieve granular analytics of incidents and bots. It is not complicated to manage and enough datapoints are collected to aid in forensic analysis.
Backend implementation is well integrated into systems and accuracy is high even after trying to evade its detection.

What do you dislike about the product?
Forensic templats would help to perform various "standard" analysis and customization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Detection methods, multi-point analysis, trends, histroy, and proactive analysis are all benefits of using Human Bot Defender. This allows for a granular insight in what traffic enters your services. The direct benefit is the reduction of consumed resources and resources with cost related to traffic using cloud services.
It really stops malicious traffic
What do you like best about the product?
It's a plug'n play product, very easy to install and configure. It works very well, protecting us from aggressive scrapping and other malicious bots. Other tools really struggle to identify bot traffic and are not capable of providing us the features we need.
The Human captcha is very easy to solve and configure which is ideal if you want to have as little friction as possible.
The support is great, they respond very quickly when we need them.

What do you dislike about the product?
The dashboard is not very fast and has a little delay when showing the data. There is no terraform or IaC tool available, it will make the management of configuration and changes very easily.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is not easy to identify bot traffic in order to block it. In the past, aggressive scrapping damaged the performance of our systems. We have struggled to identify malicious traffic by using static fields like IP, origin country, etc. but it is almost undistinguishable from legitimate traffic. Human Bot Defender does this job for us.
