Good Product for Single Organization
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, good user interface, does what is says it does without a ton of unneeded bells and whistles.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great if the product had better interaction with third-party offerings like IT Glue, but at the end of the day that doesn't really detract from what this is and does.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Centralized management of endpoints including third-party patch management.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Good platform, make sure you don't need specific integrations.

Full Control PC Management and Monitor Tool
What do you like best about the product?
With Desktop Central, you can see all hardware and software information on the device. Also, you can make the remote desktop control to all installed computers. You can set up a patch management, and you can apply them to all computers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes when you try to remote desktop to the client computer, the connection breaks. Also, the control admin panel sometimes works slowly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Desktop Central as computer software and hardware management and remote desktop application.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need an end-to-end solution for all your computers, you can use it surely.
Best Ever Path Mangement for small offices 25 or less computers
What do you like best about the product?
It works !
You have excellent control over what you want to do. For a small office, it is not scaled back as to function only the number of PC, which is quite reasonable.
The support for the free version I superb considering it is free software, and if my Office ever goes beyond the free minimum I am in with the paid version.
Maintenance is easy and if a new patch creates an issue, the fix is prompt and timely.

What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing that I can put a finger on Currently, I just "works" as advertised.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Backup Remote access has been our biggest problem solver.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need to manage your desktops, especially if you are a small shop, 25 or fewer computers, this is the ticket, the price is right, service and support are great, and if you need to go over the 25 limit it is worth every penny you spend.
Great Remote Management Solution
What do you like best about the product?
Patches, vulnerabilities, inventory, remote tools, and more all in one place. Desktop Central does a great job consolidating much needed tools into one easy to use software. Patching and software rollout is easy. Desktop Central works great when paired alongside Windows group policy.
What do you dislike about the product?
MDM leaves a bit to be desired. Devices don't always checkin properly and there is no way to enforce compliance policies natively. MDM for Windows is complicated and it's hard to remove Windows based devices from MDM.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote support, patch management, identifiying threats, device inventory, encryption, security policies, compliance and more. Desktop Central gives a single pane of glass for many much needed controls.

What do you like best about the product?
Automated patching works well.
Also all the features that ManageEngine provides - remote control, command line etc useful tools.
I have tried very many different products but i like ManageEngine best.
Also very important - as an Enterprise customer the support is really fast and helpful!

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes there are some restrictions to features.
Some of them hopefully get fixed in the future.
For example one DistributionServer can only handle one RemoteOffice.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use postgre only temporarily or for trial, switch to real SQL database early. Makes ManageEngine alot faster.
Another reccommendation is that have the patches downloaded from the source, not your central server. Will save a ton of bandwith.

Desktop Central is the tool every IT professional needs to manage their organization effectively.
What do you like best about the product?
Desktop central is the best MDM solution for every organization. The range of options it offers out of the box, blows the competition out of the water.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some documentation is out of date. Theres not too much I don't like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Complete control of endpoints. At a glance, security and device health overviews. Patch management. OS deployment. Remote control. Software deployment.
ME Desktop Central - More than remote assistant
What do you like best about the product?
Manage Engine Desktop Central has a tiny but powerful installation file. Very easy to deploy it across the network regardless of how many remote locations you have in your organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
When you use the file transfer option for the first time, you need to install a plugin to enable it. I find it a bit disturbing as some organizations don't let the admins use the same workstation to access the servers / or use policies to randomize the server access locations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ME Desktop Central helps to address the biggest nightmare that system admins have, which is Patch Management. Convenient automation processes are available within the software to carry out patch management with greater convenience and accuracy.
Great inventory management tool
What do you like best about the product?
We are using this as a inventory, and it shows all computers and their details (hostname, serial number, OS version, and many more). With that tool also you can manage and remote connection to computers. Also, you can deploy the program once in time to all your computers.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Control center sometimes works a little bit slow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Without an extra remote connection program, you can remote your computers with that solution.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want complete control of all of your computers, go for it immediately.
Swiss Army Knife for Desktop and Server Management
What do you like best about the product?
Patch management is one of my personal favorite features of desktop central. It allow you to approve or decline certain windows or third party patches. Schedule them during off hours, wake devices up for patching, force reboots.
What do you dislike about the product?
The software deployment tools are lacking one feature that I find necessary for any IT shop, and that's one-off deployments to a single computer. It's great for mass deployments, but if you need to do just one device, it's a real pain.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a good inventory management, patch management, and os deployment tool, and Desktop Central really checked off those boxes well.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Before you install desktop central, make sure your server specs are about twice as much as the recommended specs. It's not absolutely necessary, but your experience will be much better.
