Establishing and Maintaining Operational Controls
What do you like best about the product?
We selected Apptega to help guide us through the process of creating a program of operational controls. As a small business we are creating many processes and documenting procedures from the ground up. Apptega provides a wide array of templates to help form a base for policies. We like the ability to choose multiple frameworks that we can use to tighten our controls. This ranges from ISO 27001, SOC 2, IT Risk Management, Security Risk Analysis and the GRC categories. Perhaps the most outstanding feature is "engage a consultant". This allows us to pose a question from the tool. Our response time is typically less than 24 hours to our queries.
What do you dislike about the product?
We chose not to use Apptega as a document library. Instead we enter links to our SharePoint site where we maintain direct control of the IP.

Helping us structure our approach to improving controls.

Great vision, Great Customer Service
What do you like best about the product?
Apptega has always answered my questions whenever I've presented them. Also, any type of suggestions I give them, they then give me a beta version that shows they are already progressing in that direction.
The vision Apptega has with their finger on the market and the ease and efficiency they show in answering questions makes doing business with them a positive experience.

What do you dislike about the product?
Though Apptega has a vision on the future, they don't have many releases throughout the year. The often do a couple huge releases throughout the year with minor upgrades as policies and frameworks change. I wish they did 1 major release with probably quarterly big releases. I just feel like I'm sitting around waiting for updates sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Apptega to maintain our internal Cyber Security Compliance program. Using Apptega really helps us centralize all the information as we have auditors coming in to review and inspect our program.
We are also a partner with Apptega and utilize their application to market our compliance consulting services to other organizations. Apptega's effort in making sure we are successful makes us more comfortable on pursuing a long term partnership with them.

What do you like best about the product?
It is intuitive and feature rich to begin with, and continues to add valuable functionality.
What do you dislike about the product?
No complaints or concerns right now! On the contrary, customer success is proactive and responsive; the subject matter expertise and technical assistance are timely and thorough.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We identify, document, assign, track and report compliance efforts. It also offers multitude of tools to help everyone understand and implement requirements.

Apptega's cyber framework consolidation dashboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited integrations into other IT tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before I tracked Cybersecurity progress with multiple spreadsheets without good visualization or guidance. Now with Apptega I can keep that information and progress in an easy to use web application.
World Class Customer Service
What do you like best about the product?
Intuitive easy to use platform; point and click. Manage multiple scorecards in a single unified pane.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of ability to customize/schedule reports, automate recurring audit tasks, and granulate user roles and permissions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
NIST and 800-53 Compliance

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Harmony to align multiple governance programs.
Apptega is a must have for every cyber security program
What do you like best about the product?
Apptega's Harmony feature allows us to select multiple frameworks as a single program. This means we do not have to duplicate efforts; when a shared control is implemented it is reflected across all frameworks. Additionally, the task packs take the most common tasks for a framework and allow us to kickstart the work!
What do you dislike about the product?
At this point, there is nothing to dislike.

Apptega is our cyber security program manager. It tracks progress, budget, and gaps. It generates reports.
Amplify 2020
What do you like best about the product?
Awesome presentation of the new functionality and capabilities in the Apptega platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
To date, I have not found anything I dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With the collaboration capability, we are solving some of the internal collaboration challenges we experienced in the past. Other responsible (eg departments) are providing better/responsive input using the tasking functionality.

Apptega provides the functionality and capability to effectively and efficiently establish/maintain a cybersecurity compliance management program.

What do you like best about the product?
I find Apptega amazingly easy to use. What I like best is the pre-built framework content covering topics like NIST CSF, CIS, GDPR and CCPA. The reports are extremely valuable for reporting to executive and board stakeholders.
What do you dislike about the product?
Updating the controls inside of Apptega is currently more of a manual process. However, the new, expanded API and upcoming connectors will allow us to integrate some of technology controls. That integration will help automate the control validation and reporting process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Apptega is the main solution we use to provide management oversight and scorecard reporting for our security program. Tracking progress over time has been beneficial.
Great way to centralize your compliance program
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about the system is that I can store all of my compliance-related documents and requirements in a centralized location. Before Apptega, we were using various spreadsheets and SharePoint sites to manage our compliance program and it was hard to keep track of everything cross-functionally.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are not a lot of downsides, but the only thing that comes to mind is having to commit to actively managing the scoring. This is not even really an Apptega issue, it just comes with my team being small and having limited resources.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Apptega is helping us solve all aspects of managing our compliance program from operational license requirements to our IT compliance, it is helping us tackle it all!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would absolutely recommend Apptega for anyone looking to elevate their compliance program from a static source to something that can be used to actively track and manage your compliance. The team is also just a wonderful group of people that care about their customers and their success with the tool. They have always made me feel that the customer experience was an absolute top priority.
