What do you like best about the product?
Ribbon combines PBX and UC capabilities that makes it super easy to collaborate for 24.7.12.365.
It integrates with external apps which advances its features.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am a daily user of Ribbon and I rarely encounter issues whenever I turn to it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has been super easy and straightforward to create secure communication channels in one central repository.

What do you like best about the product?
Ribbon is merged with ECI telecom and created a vast range of MUX and DeMux , Ribbon Mux ranges are more efficient then Ciena Mux .
Ribbons gives more options of 5g ranges .
What do you dislike about the product?
To be honest there is nothing to disalike over here ribbon software and hardware are very efficeint and promising .
More efficient then ciena & Huawei Mux/Demux devices
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
See Ribbon devices are used to make a proper secure channel for communication with other devices without interuption and in secure manner as it also helps for endpoint communication which includes Hub/Router/Swtiches

Great software to manage VOIP Communication!

What do you like best about the product?
It's a great solution to manage Session Border Controller physically & cloud-based. The significant part is that it is compatible with other communication solutions, including MS Meet and others based on IP Networks. Organizations can easily manage, control & troubleshoot their multi-tenant VOIP Networks.
What do you dislike about the product?
This is a highly technical solution and needs to be trained staff with significant experience in the Telecom domain to install and maintain the network. The training programs are expensive, and the learning curve is high. The solution itself is costly and is suitable for a large enterprise with substantial volume
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a single platform, it ultimately manages your VoIP Networks. One can work with old & new SBC Controllers on this platform. Rbbon is a scalable solution and can be easily scaled as the organization grows. The protocols are light, and the Voice communications are fast & loss-less.

Big on promises, short on functionality

What do you like best about the product?
Ribbon has a range of features and is open to customizing them to fit specific business needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Ribbon was oversold. When first implemented it was buggy, and promised functions made in the sales phase were continually pushed back. The functionality that did exist was buggy, and required significant troubleshooting from our end to solve as Ribbon did not want to dedicate the time or manpower to help us solve the issues. Once we did the manual labor to gather the info and provide specific problems, they did fix them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ribbon provided a needed "call center" functionality to our front desk.

What do you like best about the product?
Liked SBC product which is easy to install and make configuration compare with the other products. User friendly interface. Security, interoperability, scalable, transcoding are the other benefits while you are deciding to purchase ribbon sbc (q10 series)
What do you dislike about the product?
Price is quite challanging part but you can afford the such a quality for this product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mynprevious experience shows that while your doing voip business, you need to have LCR and LLCR as such you can find these features here. Other than that security is important and main part of sbc is working as firewall on edge networks also cps and port based ip blocking features have also solved in our many problems while facing prior to outages.

What do you like best about the product?
Ribbon GENCom is a feature-rich communications application for Windows devices. Users can turn any workspace into a virtual office. A Ribbon GENCom client delivers a robust set of collaboration services including:
Voice calling with hosted PBX features
Video calling
Instant messaging
Presence
Common corporate directory
Access to Smart Office Collaboration Rooms

It’s easy to find co-workers, get connected and get more done. Ribbon GENCom clients can be deployed from an in-network Ribbon Application Server.
What do you dislike about the product?
Within the architecture of the application, the application server is the evolution of the Nortel AS-Gencom. Its management interface is complex and the configuration of services is also not very intuitive.
To administer the service requires a somewhat long learning curve, but once mastered it does not differ from other vendors' products
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The application, which together with the application servers, offer a complete set of sets.
In our case, it has allowed us to enjoy a complete integration of fixed, mobile and PC communications in a pre-IMS and IMS environment when it was not available in any other vendor.
Another point in your favor is the monitoring of presence, which allows you to know the status of your contacts at any time (today is usual, but when this product was offered there were few applications that did it).

The application, which together with the application servers, offer a complete set of functions:

Easy to deploy
Customizable
Ease of use (client)
Manufacturer's experience It is one of the first unified communication tools.
