Good value and good experience

  • April 19, 2023
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Intruder provides good value. The cost of their services is lower than most competitors, but don't let that fool you into thinking you are getting an inferior product. Their Customer Support and Product teams cannot be beaten. Customer support is always reachable in a short amount of time and professional in all of my dealings with them. The Product Team has a feedback forum where product end-users can discuss and vote on product enhancements to fit their business needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
The API cannot dive deep into the details of assets and their associated vulnerabilities. Our business needs changed from needing a giant list of vulnerabilities to wanting to filter on particular vulnerabilities and their associated assets for efficiency reasons.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Intruder is solving the vulnerability visibility problem in our strategic focus areas.

Excellent tool that provides exactly what we need, with minimal cognitive overhead for me

  • April 19, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It does one thing, and it does it well: easy to add a new host to monitor, with easy to understand reports and recommendations for mitigation. They don't try to upsell me, bullshit me. I wish all suppliers we used were like them.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't think of anuything to put in this box. I regularly get called by other suppliers who ask what they can do to win our business away from Intruder. And I tell them "no thanks".
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it to perform monthly penetration testing on all of our production servers. They stay on top of new vulnerabilities, so each month we're being tested against more and more.

  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The fact that the support team is incredabily helpful, they spent just under 3 hours with me showing and explaining to me how to install the application.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their pricing is quite high, I feel that it is a good service though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is providing me with real time vulnerabilites.

Anyone who cares about security should be running intruder.io

  • March 24, 2023
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We used to run automated vulnerability scanners, but since support for that ended, we've been unable to find one as easy to use until we found intruder.io. So simple to set up and start scanning your infrastructure with a 14 day free trial. Quickly identifies systems with known vulnerabilities within your production and office environments. Unlike previous systems I've used, we've been able to run internal scans of our product to be even more comprehensive. Be sure to check pricing closer; not as expensive as it would initially appear.
What do you dislike about the product?
Don't use authentication license on production systems, intruder.io scans will change data within your system as part of the tests that are being run. This should be more obvious, lucky we tested on staging systems first.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making us aware of security threats before would-be attackers can take advantage and we can take action to resolve these. Continuously scans for emerging threats, we can manually keep up otherwise.

Cloudn8v & Intruder.io

  • March 21, 2023
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We were after an authenticated, comprehensive vulnerability scanner, and after testing the intruder.io platform, we found numerous positive features that make it a standout option in the marketplace.

Firstly, the quality of its support staff. The team is readily available via the chat app and is always willing to help with any queries or concerns. The chat app has a feature that saves the history of the conversation, making it easy to refer back to any technical discussions.

Another notable positive of Intruder.io is the comprehensiveness of the outputs. The results of the scans are clearly explained and categorized, with remediation of any identified threats outlined. This makes it easy to understand the vulnerabilities and take appropriate action to fix them. Regarding the UI, the navigation is intuitive, and the tool's features are clearly accessible.
What do you dislike about the product?
One potential negative of Intruder.io is the 30-day lock on moving authentication domain targets. If a user wants to switch to a new domain or target for authentication testing, they must wait for 30 days before they can do so. This limitation can be frustrating, especially if switching domains is a requirement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Improving the security posture of our infrastructure.

Easy to use for Pentesting, I recommend it

  • March 10, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
intruder has a user friendly interface. It was easy to do the pentesting for multiple Websites at the Same time.

One Feature that i really like is the ability to automatically identify vulnerabilities in web applications, reducing the time and effort required to manually scan for weaknesses.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it was unclear What Tests are really used to test the Website. Maybe add a Feature to select specific attaks or Methode.

The report that can be create is fine, but i think that the PDF can be polished more.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I want to Automatically scan for weaknesses, and have an overview on All acittivies. Intruder does this very well.

Simple, straight forward & easy to use

  • March 09, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The Cloudbot feature handled our target management automatically, reducing overhead significantly. The Noise Reduction feature drew attention to actual issues so our DevSecOps teams could spend their limited resources fixing them. In addition, our SecOps team isn't chasing false positives or being overwhelmed by data fatigue. Intruder stood out in our proof of concept testing, which included MSPs and SaaS offerings, by being the only vendor to reduce specific findings and, more importantly, explain why it wasn't an issue. Plain and simple, quality over quantity here.
What do you dislike about the product?
There hasn't been much to dislike about Intruder, but if you are looking for a "swiss army knife" type product to handle nearly every type of use case, then you are likely looking for something else.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cloud and Corporate Perimeter Scanning
Attack Surface Management with Continuous Monitoring to notify Security of any new exposures or network changes
Simplified UI that provides a quick holistic view of attackers' point of view
Great Cloud Integration automation that reduces administrative overhead

Adra & IntruderIO

  • March 09, 2023
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Its simplicity makes it stand out in an over complicated sector. Intruder has a very transparent pricing model that is both effective and provides excellent value.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its Microsoft 365 integration can be unhelpful on occasion. It can include some addresses that you may not need and exclude some that you do. Intruder does however roll out updates regularly so the performance of these integrations have improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
External penetration testing has always been something we have done, over the years we have used several other products to plug this gap, most have been over complicated and required constant attention, Intruder solved this issue by being far more automated, its reduced the need for dedicated security analysts to perform vulnerability scans.

Intruder helps to build more Proactive, Secure, and Agile IT Teams

  • March 08, 2023
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
This platform enables my team not to waste time testing against known vulnerabilities and focus on hardening our services and solutions.

Intruder also provides a huge benefit in proactive Change detection, where it will advise when new instances or hosts are detected as well as any vulnerabilities that it may have, allowing for more agile change management. This also allows the teams to learn positively and move faster.
What do you dislike about the product?
Once a threat is detected, it would be nice if there was a button on the detected threat to allow customers to retest and validate that their fix has resolved the vulnerability without having to run an unscheduled full gamut pen test to clear the issue out. This slows the remediation process. Having a button that can check and clear that one vulnerability would mean quicker cycle time and I am sure less expense for Intruder from a Cloud Compute standpoint.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Intruder helps us solve:
- Proactive Change Detection
- Attack Surface Management
- Post Development and Patch Validation
- Hardened Cyber Security Posture

We have greater confidence from our Board that our team has an excellent grasp on the threats in the wild and that we are ensuring our services are safe.
