What do you dislike about the product?
It can be challenging to configure and troubleshoot the issues for newbies. Person should have expressions knowledge to operate this tool/platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Monitoring. we take proactive actions, so we can resolve problems before someone notice or report it.

Splunk: Infrastructure Monitoring Application
What do you like best about the product?
I like splunk because, we integrated it with all our SAP apps, DB and GUI. It provides us with real-time monitoring, alerting, and custom dashboard making.
It helps us in monitoring file system usage, application availability and CPU usage of our systems which will ensure there will be always smooth performance and no downtime for the production environments.
I like features of it, like:
1. Realtime Monitoring
2. Custom Dashboard
3. Alerts Configuring
4. Scalability

What do you dislike about the product?
Cost of the application is somewhat high, learning it is also quite difficult. Other than that from functionality side Splunk is best.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. Alerting us as soon as there is an application is unavailable.
2. FileSystem usage is high.
3. CPU spikes alerts to us, which we will take care of immediately by killing the workload
3. Mainly, it keeps the system downtime minimum incase of any failure with the systems. As we will fix it as soon as notified.

Versatile end to end monitoring platform
What do you like best about the product?
Versatile, end to end monitoring of all devices with processing of various log files to give insights into the events happening on those devices. Plug n play with cloud model ensures faster implementation
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing is one concern area as it's based on GB of data processed. Large enterprises have huge volumes of log files that can turn out to be quite expensive
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Log analysis across all devices and getting insights into the events, errors and identifying the real cause of issue in the infrastructure device chain
Great tool for log aggregator and searching
What do you like best about the product?
Splunk provides great features for log aggregator, searching , you can monitor things like your infrastructure, can create different dash boards for your infra, application and many more ! You can also use/configure Splunk as a SIEM ( Security information and Event Managemnt) that helps organization detect, analyze, and respond to security threats before they harm to the business/application.
What do you dislike about the product?
Defintley Splunk is a not a very sheap solution and bit expensive. Learning curve is also there, you need to underdstand the architecture and terminology, should be goof as SPL ( search processing language) to query from the logs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use typically for our Infrastructure monitoring, creating various dash boards for our application, Alerts generation,Infra availability, log aggregration and many more..

Helps in attaining insights with respect to the provisioned infrastructure over cloud and on premises environment.

Sometimes it gets difficult to integrate with the existing infrastructure and the API corresponding to them.
Pricing is comparatively expensive as we keep on aligning the cloud servers.

It has been immensely helpful in alerting and monitoring any abnormal behaviour with regards to the architecture that is setup.

Good tool for monitoring in different environments
What do you like best about the product?
I have used this tool for the monitoring of applications deployed in the cloud public and private networks, stands out for its comprehensive visibility with an user-friendly interface, real time monitoring, analytics, scalability and a vibrant user community
What do you dislike about the product?
in some cases is complex for customization or to execute some custom queries into the logs, it requires an extensive learning curve when you only know the basics
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
On one hand, it helps me with real time monitoring and alerting, enabling me to detect and address issues as they happen, in the other hand, Splunk has an active community of user and developers that offers a wide range of apps, integrations and extensions that extends the platform functionality.

Splunk can be very using in many ways, like grafically, report fet hing, createing dashboards, analysing the things , query writing , one of the easy platform to opt everyone

Nothing in detail. But it is very useful in all aspects of monitoring, integrating, query usage, no:of users logged in or logged out via report fetching it's very uesful

Reporting, grafical report, monitoring, query writings, fet hing and editing of report easily , understanding and creating dashboards one by one mutiple problems sloving
Splunk Infrastructure Monitoring is a seamless tool to monitor data from multiple clouds
What do you like best about the product?
It is a feature rich tool and the thing I like is that it offers monitoring from not one specific cloud but a lot of cloud platforms. It also offers a trial period.
What do you dislike about the product?
The documentation could be better. Also, the customer support is poor and relies on crowd-sourcing instead of customer service.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Splunk Infrastructure Monitoring allows to monitor servers, database loads by way of good visualization dashboards and data analytics and that tends to increase business performance.

What do you like best about the product?
Ability to create realtime Dashboards. Very useful and attractive interface and ease of use. Can pull a variety of information about infrastructre from vm health to security point of view.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its a bit slow sometimes when it comes to processing a lot of data. Nothing much to dislike
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Realtime monitoring of health of vms, Security and patch information of vms seggregated on subscription level.
Real time infra monitoring with Splunk
What do you like best about the product?
The best part was the real-time monitoring of the infrastructure assets. It provides excellent scalability in terms of upsizing or downsizing the infrastructure inventory to its monitoring estate.
What do you dislike about the product?
The license cost of Splunk is expensive, so we tend to move to open source for some of the observability projects. There is some user training needed to manage a Splunk monitoring estate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We tried to manage and streamline infrastructure asset monitoring using the Splunk Infrastructure Monitoring tool for a project stream. The benefits are real good when it comes to real-time asset monitoring.
