With a little training, easy enough to use

  • January 21, 2022
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like using Drupal because it is simple enough to use with only a little training and provides a good framework for our website. In addition, it's mobile-friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes things on the backend are not intuitive, but I can usually figure out how to do something with a simple Google search. People without any website training might get confused.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Drupal we have an easy-to-navigate website. Even our customers who are unfamiliar with technology can figure out where things are and learn about our services.

Drupal Review

What do you like best about the product?
Drupal is a content management system, where we can have large number of content managed easily, can connect to different servers simultaneously, if handled and implemented carefully it can be highly scalable and serve requests in milliseconds.
What do you dislike about the product?
The DB is very costly, handling DB with drupal can be a tedious task at the enterprises level, it requires a special type of deployment file and has to run some scripts for configuration copying.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The content management system at the enterprises level, where we are maintaining the content of different types in drupal and serving the content to others for using in different ways like search results, personalization of content.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Drupal can be used as a web content management system, which is very efficient and highly scalable.

Powerful Open Source Platform

  • January 12, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how powerful Drupal is and the vision that is in place for scaling the platform to meet the emerging needs of users.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is somewhat complicated. If it were made to be a little more user-friendly, it may attract more companies to adopt it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Governance, headless options, integration, and consistent branding while allowing unique subcategories are the main problems we see that Drupal helps with.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the security that Drupal offers and the clean look.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do wish it was a little more adaptable for videos.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I recently had to put out a video library for our members… And I was able to do you so using a couple different Drupal modules.

Customizable For Better or Worse

  • December 14, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Our company loves the levels of options for our website. Pretty much everything is custom built and gives a larges number of web options for exactly the tools we need to exist.
What do you dislike about the product?
With anything that's very customizable, there come several drawbacks. First of all, it's expensive and time-consuming to create a site from scratch. You also have to trust your developers since there have been issues of not knowing all of our choices (or choices being made in the design process we would have done differently). In the end it's like having a baby website, with a lot of growing pains.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have multiple audiences (students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni, etc) that the website serves efficiently. Drupal's custom options have allowed us to cater to each group.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you have the budget, a good web team, and need a highly customized site, Drupal is your best option. However, most organizations would probably prefer just applying a tested template if they care less about custom options. There's a higher learning curve than with say a Wordpress or even Joomla.

Best open source content management system available in the market

  • December 09, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Drupal is super easy to start if you have very little knowledge of building a web application. It provides a wide modules integration space using which you can almost integrate it with anything you like.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some contributed modules are buggy, so they can cause some minor issues. Need more frequent security updates to make the application more secure and safe. Need more improvements on user and role management functionalities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have created a couple of web apps in drupal for our client. We have also migrated some of them to drupal, which is mostly content-driven. We have used both contributed modules and some custom modules as well.

Powerful and Secure Open-Source Platform

  • December 06, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love that Drupal is an open-source platform. It's great for creating large, complex websites (or simple websites too). Great community support, and powerful and secure.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be overwhelming and challenging at first, but if you stick with it, you'll soon realize the many benefits of this product! Because Drupal is so advanced, there are components to the CMS that your average developer may not have previous experience in.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have several content managers who use Drupal to ensure our organization's web pages are professional and secure.

Drupal Review

  • December 02, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's a versatile website-building tool but is also easy to use at the same time. I frequently use it in my current role to update, design, and develop web pages. It's a great platform to build a website on right now!
What do you dislike about the product?
Compared to other more visual development platforms, it's a little outdated when updating a page, saving it, and previewing the changes. Most website builders now are simple drag and drop, which I think Drupal could do better to adapt to make the overall experience for its users better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We migrated our existing website (www.usccb.org) from an old and outdated system to the Drupal platform. The difference could not be more drastic! What took days or weeks to update and develop now take minutes and hours. It's cut down on man-hours and maximised our productivity dramatically.
