Gitlab is Great
What do you like best about the product?
Gitlab as compared to GitHub has built in CI/CD. You do not have to rely on other software like TravisCI, but can easily do everything with one configuration file. Also you are able to host Gitlab internally.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing I can think of that I dislike, besides a few minor style choices for the UI that I think GitHub does a little better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gitlab allows for easy storage, and sharing of code needed for various parts of the project. It also makes it easy to create repositories for shared code that is common to many parts of the project.

All in one version control
What do you like best about the product?
GitLab gives me and my team the ability to store dozens of client projects and other related files in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
The current system of not allowing for monthly billing has made it difficult for us to scale up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are dealing with multiple versions of code across multiple projects.

Very easy UI. Has all the functionality like GitHub and very useful.

It crashes at times and the search is not always accurate.

The code repositories are all on Gitlab and is used everyday.

What do you dislike about the product?
-There is no any dislike feature
Only thing is new user has to familiar with all useful options from menu, buttons for everyday use.

-I manage code easily with any kind of Git Client software like Sourcetree, GitKraken etc. and terminal commands too without any issue.

Gitlab is amazing because it combines features such as bitbucket and source tree in terms of tracking the repository

Just the UI can be difficult at times when first understanding how to use it. I wish I was able to do sprints on gitlab

What do you like best about the product?

What do you dislike about the product?
They continue adding highlights to their item, which is decent however can be somewhat overpowering for new users. They've completed a great job at mapping everything out, except I feel there ought to be an alternative to just show key highlights rather than the whole suite of highlights. - Less client support when compared to github
- For a large company, it makes no sense to shift from github to gitlab

GitLab made it easy to submit tickets to our vendors. We assigned who it went to, the priority, the severity, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have many bad things to say. Sometimes when I tried to assign someone to the ticket, searching the name didn't work and I'd have to go through the list manually, but that's it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
GitLab helped us log bugs with our vendor so that we could track bugs and fixes in an organized way.
GitLab is the best version control system for students.
What do you like best about the product?
It is the best version control system that i have been using since collage. It's free and it allows me to collaborate efficiently with my fellow coders and friends. Now I run a software company and I have been using it ever since. Free version is great but the paid version provides you with extra needed security and is more fast. I am currently using the gold package and it comes with all the functionalities that an enterprise could ask for. They also provide you with a beautiful security dashboard and portfolio management.
What do you dislike about the product?
The storage space could have been a little more so we can store more projects for free.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us as a company to collaborate and link our project and also allows for the full control of previous versions of the program which is essential especially for new employees.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's free version is better than some other version control systems available in the market.
