In the last year, the player version 7 does not fit our expectations. Not working well on all platforms (iOS, Safari), too many bugs

What do you like best about the product?
Since we adopted Kaltura back in 2012 adoption has exploded exponentially for use in student video assessments and also learning content generation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally may have trouble or cost for LTI integration to LMS

Provides streaming video which is a far better student experience to download.

Kaltura Video Cloud excels in flexibility and control. Its robust functionality and seamless integration capabilities truly shine. It's user-friendly, perfect for scaling up operations, and has been an indispensable tool in our suite.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing that I can say is that storage is something you need to watch.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the issue with where to host a video for instructors creating for their courses, how to record a powerpoint or your screen and upload and transcode it, and provide a alternate ad free streaming solution.

What do you like best about the product?
The changes that were done to the user interface make it more accessible, user-friendly and intuitive. The new functionalities such as exporting lists of the content uploaded to the KMC.
What do you dislike about the product?
The support assistance is awful even paying the platinum assistance. It took more than 3 months to identify an issue, issues that are never corrected/solved or the lack of information regarding technical issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As we are using the EU Cloud, the scaling of the content volume is considerably reduced as we had previously used an OnPrem system that had limited storage capacity.
Community College Experience with Kaltura
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to have videos stored in the cloud so if an internal failure happened to a server the videos would not be destroyed or unrecoverable. Also, the 24/7, 365 access for our faculty, staff, and students.
What do you dislike about the product?
A community college located in an area where terrain can cause Internet connectivity issues is the biggest downside to storing the videos in the cloud.

Cloud collection of videos alleviates the need for our Learning Management System to provide the necessary storage space for uploaded assignments and projects from students.

What do you like best about the product?
Kaltura has great reps that are responsive and helpful.
Kaltura/Media Space gives you a lot of options to control access and the look of your video portal.

We use both Kaltura Media Space and it streaming capabilities, however they feel like two different products and not integrated.

What do you like best about the product?
Kaltura provides a unique place for our community to access and store their video content. Access time is quick and the service has been reliable for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
With any technology product, service outages and performance can be a disruption and hindrance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
During the pandemic, we were experiencing frequent service disruptions. Kaltura has remedied these issues and down time has been less severe.
