    Architecture & Planning

Excellent tool

  • November 12, 2019

What do you like best about the product?
Data transformation techniques in SnapLogic makes the extract, transform, and load process more feasible
What do you dislike about the product?
Exiting/ Closing all the pipelines opened in one tab would be great
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Data integrations,
Data transformations, and so on

Data conversion and data loading are great using SnapLogic, unlike different other tools. The visualization in SnapLogic i.e. different chart types help me for analyzing the large data sets which is quite appealing and wonderful to use.

SnapLogic is great!

What do you like best about the product?
I really like SnapLogic a lot. It is something I use everyday, whether that includes me logging into my SnapLogic account and making new pipelines, or viewing dating or uploading data on the backend from pipelines I have made. It saves a lot of time doing tasks. For someone like me that doesn't have a programming background, I am still able to use this to automate a lot of my processes that I was manually doing prior.
What do you dislike about the product?
The thing I HATE the most is that there is no good online support that shows you how to use each snap. Something does exist, but it does not do a good job at all explaining each snap or how to use them. The examples are very basic, so I have to spend a lot of time trying to figure out each snap or solve a problem. Also, the google sheets snap is very finicky. It works about a third of the time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use this to populate different tables and fields. We integrate it with several softwares, such as MySQL and Salesforce, and it helps populates data for every team (Sales, CS, Eng, Finance, etc) at your company.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Have a better support page that shows examples of how you can use SnapLogic, or create a forum place for users to be able to communicate with each other. This way, other users can take each other how they and their org use different snaps.

Connecting multiple endpoints to do a major part of the requirement, reporting, data flow, running dashbaords, etc.

Good Integration Tool

  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The tool is very powerful and flexible and allows data manipulation, and funneling to various systems. It has allowed us to integrate our various ERP's on campus.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not as simplistic as you would hope. It does require development Knowledge. The concept of what can be done with the tool is very straightforward, but there is a need to programming language.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are moving to a new ERP for our institution, we move daily information between various systems to keep the information in sync during this transition. We also use the tool to send and receive data in required formats to outside vendors.

    Financial Services

Works, but with quirks

  • May 28, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that snaps and workflow make a lot of sense and cover all the ground you might need. SQL statements, API, file, Maps, etc... it's all there and labeled properly.
What do you dislike about the product?
My main complaints are: Debugging is HARD. In many scenarios you have to have built extensive error pipelines and logging in order to debug, instead of just being able to see where and why something failed. I also think that passing parameters from pipeline to pipeline, and sometimes snap to snap, isn't very intuitive. Some pipelines that are expecting values from another source are impossible to test without creating a json creator or something like that at the front. I am not always clear with what data is being passed through certain snaps, like a json splitter, etc...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data loads from one database source to another. Also, lots of file transformations and loads.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It can work for you, but spend the right amount of time learning how and why to use certain snaps, and try not to stray from their intended use.
