Une bonne solution de supervision pour PME
What do you like best about the product?
Facile à installer, à configurer, avec une facilité bienvenue à générer des tableaux de bord graphiquement réussis, la solution PRTG peut se dépoyer et s'intégrer en moins d'une demi journée, même sans être un expert de l'IT. Elle s'installer sur un système d'exploitation Windows.
Tout est fait pour qu'en quelques clics vous ayez votre solution prète à l'emploi et elle est donc tout a fait adapté au monde des TPE et PME qui n'ont pas forcément d'équipe IT en permanence disponible ou souhaitant des déploiements simplifiés.

What do you dislike about the product?
Au delà d'un certain nombre de capteurs préconfigurés pour des logiciels, constructeurs ou systèmes c'est vite la croix et la bannière de faire des capteurs custom adaptés, l'ensemble rencontre très vite des limitations si vous êtes quelqu'un d'exigeant techniquement ou avec des appliances ou des systèmes particuliers (les scripts custom sont un enfert et on a plus vite fait de customer le SNMP du système en face)
Coté intégration l'API ou externe c'est clairement en retard sur son temps et la solution est donc plus faite pour tourner en stand-alone dans son coin que dans un environnement totalement intégré.
Pour ce qui est des performances entre les capteurs lourds et les limitations du système de fichier / configuration il vous faudra vite une configuration de compétition ou de l'optimisation permanente pour faire tourner plus de 10 000 capteurs.

PRTG est facile à déployer, à mettre à jour, et le grand nombre de capteurs pré-configuré permettent de déployer très rapidement des dizaines de probes et les supervisions associés, il permet donc d'avoir une supervision facile à mettre en place et maintenir.

What do you dislike about the product?
- La creación de Dashboard es bastante engorroso al ser HTML puro, no se pueden copiar ni pegar objetos de monitoreo, pienso que se puede mejorar en este punto.
- Monitorear de forma avanzada SAP tiene un costo aparte con otro desarrollador que puede ser muy costoso.

- El monitoreo de la infraestructura es algo vital para la continuidad de los negocios, pues un buen monitoreo anticipa a los problemas como por ejemplo: Temperaturas altas en equipos, discos duros que estan camino a llevarse, entre otros, el servicio de monitoreo se encarga de alertar antes que se conviertan en un problema.
A must for Network Administrators
What do you like best about the product?
We use it mostly for alerts. We get an email every time a device is down or comes back up. We also use the Maps function to display the network on TV's. We also monitor interfaces on deices and services on servers.
What do you dislike about the product?
As far as Meraki integration, you could only the cloud status. It looks like if I want more information to monitor on those devices, I will need help from support or extra help to monitor the health and interfaces.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Alerting when devices go down is the most critical piece for us. Instead of waiting for the following morning, i can address the problem right away. Our up time is near 100 percent due to this.

What do you like best about the product?
We run about 5 to 6 PRTG servers in our organisation, which significantly helps watch all our networking and their state in a single 'Devices' page on each server.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I disliked, which I recently discovered, was the sound notification of alerts with an annoying sound and no customisation of choosing different sound notifications.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It reduces the tedious job of an administrator to log into each server or network device to check their health. It helps notify administrators whenever there is a problem with a particular sensor attached to a 'Device' or even the probe/node.
Solid NMS Solution
What do you like best about the product?
One of the best Network monitoring tools available in the market supports most of the devices that one can think of. Very flexible and can do most of the tasks that anyone can wish from a nms like availability, traffic packet loss and many more. Easy and quick setup, easy to use, and very user-friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Probably the only way it shows interface down alters. It Should have alerts by default for interface down, like in Zabbix or Solar winds. Maps can be improved for better visual understanding. Sensor-based licensing can become expensive for a more extensive network.

It helps me diagnose and troubleshoot network problems and improves my network performance. Allows me to plan my network concerning B.W allocations better and helps me in network optimization

Any issue we faced was quickly resolved by the support team and at times we also turn to the hepful online tutorials.

What do you like best about the product?
Best network monitoring tool in terms of availability perspective. It's netflow sensor also gives a lot of information.
What do you dislike about the product?
It works flawlessly with cisco products. Needs a lot of configurations for adding firewall and non-cisco devices.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
24x7 monitoring and alerting of critical devices. The moment a link or device is down it sends an alert.
Also the netflow sensor provides great information like top source and destination which helps me to take action accordingly

The dashboard, the variety of connectors and the way to monitor, the easy way to configure, and the ease of monitoring the network out of your reach.

I searched for a long time for such a complete tool, with ease of configuration and a great way to monitor my networks and active equipment.
PRTG Monitor - Excellent tool for monitoring network resources
What do you like best about the product?
PRTG Network Monitor is an excellent and highly customizable tool for monitoring network resources. It allows us to get a better insight into the status of network devices across enterprises. As a result, we can now act proactively and take corrective measures even before problems get reported by the users. Maps can be customizable, and with some imagination, this tool can provide an awe-inspiring representation of the network and all monitored devices. It supports SNMP and variety of custom censors, as well as API integration.
What do you dislike about the product?
Map creation editor is lacking undo button. In addition, it is also a bit buggy when trying to deploy specific HTML5 code inside the sensor configuration. Sometimes it also does not render or accept custom inserted code.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are running PRTG Network monitor spread across several big HD Tv displays connecting to PRTG server in our Network Operations Center. We rotate PRTG maps and have full network monitoring capabilities. We can identify specific problems even before our users report them. As a result, we can act proactively and take corrective measures before they become a problem. It helps us better monitor our network utilization and even certain custom monitors within specific applications we use.
