Secure encrypted file sharing has transformed how we transfer large client data and code

  • January 05, 2026
  • Review from a verified AWS customer

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for GoAnywhere MFT is file transfer. Before using GoAnywhere MFT for file transfer, we could only transfer 2GB of data using one of the free tools, but after we started using GoAnywhere, our files are very secure and encrypted because we work on client data, so we can securely share all the database and all the code with our clients.

We started using GoAnywhere MFT four months ago, and our major use case is file transfer because we are working on some tools related to banking and e-commerce, so we use this tool for sending data to our clients.

What is most valuable?

The best feature of GoAnywhere MFT, in my opinion, is file sharing in encrypted form. The encryption feature in GoAnywhere MFT stands out for me because while the initial setup is a bit complicated, the encrypted use cases are excellent compared to other tools, which is why we can use this tool.

I would add that GoAnywhere MFT includes secure transfer protocols such as HTTPS, SFTP, and FTPS and more advanced B2B standards, and the encryption, authentication, and access control are features I appreciate most, along with reporting. GoAnywhere MFT has impacted my organization positively, with security being the most important reason we use this tool.

What needs improvement?

I believe that GoAnywhere MFT can be improved because the initial setup is somewhat challenging for a new user, so they need to make the initial feature easier for everyone, whether new or experienced users. I also think that the UI needs improvement, aiming for cleaner and quicker visuals.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using GoAnywhere MFT for the last four months.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

GoAnywhere MFT is stable in my experience.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

GoAnywhere MFT's scalability is great.

How are customer service and support?

The customer support for GoAnywhere MFT is good.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Negative

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Previously, we used WeTransfer. We decided to switch from WeTransfer to GoAnywhere MFT because WeTransfer is not secure and there is a limit of only 2GB that we can send to clients, but with GoAnywhere, we can send more than 2GB.

How was the initial setup?

We purchased GoAnywhere MFT directly from their website.

What about the implementation team?

We purchased GoAnywhere MFT directly from their website.

What was our ROI?

We have seen a return on investment. GoAnywhere MFT saves a lot of time for our team, allowing us to share files securely with our clients.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I did not evaluate other options before choosing GoAnywhere MFT; I researched this tool and after that, I purchased it without looking at other tools.

What other advice do I have?

This tool is much faster compared to other tools, and our clients feel more secure about their data. Although we have faced errors in some cases, not with this tool. I would advise others to use GoAnywhere MFT instead of other tools because it is secure and faster than the competition.

Overall, GoAnywhere MFT has been a reliable and secure solution for managing file transfers in our organization, being very helpful for our team and clients in terms of security, workflow, and automation. I would recommend GoAnywhere MFT to my friends and other organizations if anyone asks me because it is an amazing tool for the file transfer field. I gave this product a rating of eight out of ten.

Secure file sharing across hospitals has improved patient report reviews and collaboration

  • December 23, 2025
  • Review from a verified AWS customer

What is our primary use case?

We are using GoAnywhere MFT in our software to create reports for patients, and we are placing those reports, which are basically PDF files, into GoAnywhere MFT so that different hospitals with their different software can fetch the reports. We use this to share PDF reports across the hospital chain.

In development, with GoAnywhere Secure Forms, we have a process where a patient report is created and then reviewed by multiple senior doctors, and for that purpose, we use this form to review and share feedback.

What is most valuable?

From my developer perspective, I appreciate GoAnywhere MFT because it supports almost all file transfer protocols including SFTP, HTTPS, and FTP, which are my main requirements since we are integrating from many third-party systems. The maximum file transfer support is the main feature I appreciate, as it is very useful for our operations.

The main benefits I have seen from using GoAnywhere MFT are related to data security because our patient reports are very critical, and it was very challenging for us to securely deliver these reports to different hospitals. This was our main challenge, and GoAnywhere MFT handles our data security needs very securely.

In terms of measurable benefits with GoAnywhere MFT, we have improved efficiency because we can now share secure files across our hospitals' networks very efficiently and safely.

GoAnywhere MFT has saved us time in securely connecting with the third parties we need to collaborate with, and I would give it a ten for security, as it is our main requirement.

The use of Secure Forms is useful for us in terms of getting feedback from multiple stakeholders, so it is beneficial for our operations.

What needs improvement?

Overall, GoAnywhere MFT is good for our organization, but sometimes we receive complaints from clients about lag, particularly when transferring larger files. We get feedback that it sometimes fails or takes too much time, causing operations to time out. I would appreciate improvements in performance.

I think GoAnywhere MFT could include more AI in the next release, as it deals with files containing lots of content, and broader AI integration would be a great help.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working with GoAnywhere MFT for more than a year.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

We have not experienced downtime with GoAnywhere MFT, but for large files, we do get reports from clients about timing out during transfers.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

GoAnywhere MFT is very scalable.

How are customer service and support?

We have connected with the technical support team multiple times after implementation while testing, but now everything is stable.

I would rate the technical support around nine on a scale of one to ten.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup of GoAnywhere MFT was straightforward, as there was no complexity. We had some documentation from the vendor, and we followed the steps, and it worked.

What was our ROI?

GoAnywhere MFT is time-saving for us.

What other advice do I have?

We are using SharePoint as part of our GoAnywhere MFT integrations.

We have sufficient connectors to connect with other vendors using GoAnywhere MFT, so we are satisfied on that front.

The connectors provided by GoAnywhere MFT are very important because we need to connect to many third-party vendors, making them essential for our operations.

While we have achieved a lot with GoAnywhere MFT, we are communicating with additional vendors and will need a further solution to centralize processes.

I would advise other organizations considering GoAnywhere MFT that it is very good for handling secured file sharing across networks. I rate this product a nine overall.

Secure automation has replaced scripts and simplifies daily file transfers across cloud networks

  • December 17, 2025
  • Review from a verified AWS customer

What is our primary use case?

We use GoAnywhere MFT to manage secure file transfer workflows and to replace scripts with an automated process.

What is most valuable?

The favorite feature is the secure managed file transfer that supports various secure protocols, including SFTP, FTPS, and SCP. We also appreciate the centralized control and monitoring via a web-based admin console. The strong security features, which include PGP encryption and support for FIPS 140-2, are valuable to us. Additionally, we value the integration with our cloud and on-premise systems.

The pre-built logic instead of scripts reduces our custom code significantly. The plug-and-play integration allows for faster deployment.

What needs improvement?

The UI can feel somewhat heavy when we perform advanced troubleshooting for complex workflows. Sometimes it requires us to dig deeper, and granular configurations are needed more than expected. Performance visibility should be improved, and easier version controls would be beneficial. This would make the product more efficient for a large ecosystem and for clients handling multiple customer environments. As a service delivery company handling many customers, we find that we need better visibility and easier controls over workflows.

For how long have I used the solution?

We have been using GoAnywhere MFT for nearly two to three years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

We have experienced no stability issues. We deployed it on the public cloud and it is performing well with no sluggishness, though there may be occasional minor sluggishness which could be from the network side.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

GoAnywhere MFT is scalable from a small-scale industry to a large-scale industry or enterprise without any performance degradation or quality of features lagging.

How are customer service and support?

The response time from customer service is sometimes adequate. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate the response time as a seven. For simpler issues, the response time is faster. However, when there is a complex issue, the response time sometimes exceeds the SLAs. The team has knowledgeable personnel with a good set of people.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

In my previous organization, I was using MoveIt, which also offered secure managed file transfer automation. However, I did not like the integration aspect, as it was quite complicated to integrate with our existing solutions. That was at my previous organization. In this current organization, I have only been using GoAnywhere MFT.

How was the initial setup?

Although I was not present during the deployment, I understand from my colleagues that it was easy and went very well. It took two and a half months for the team to get it fully optimized.

What about the implementation team?

Although I was not present during implementation, I understand that two or three people can handle a whole deployment.

What was our ROI?

Currently, the ROI is going well. We have not required any maintenance. Our in-house team handles this product exclusively, so there has been no need for any maintenance to date.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The pricing is on the higher side to be straightforward. However, based on the features and services the team provides, it is quite worth the investment.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We have evaluated GoAnywhere MFT as an alternative to other solutions.

What other advice do I have?

We use GoAnywhere MFT on a daily basis.

We used a connector for AWS S3 and also for Google Cloud Storage.

The agents are lightweight, and the secure components can be installed on remote systems, allowing GoAnywhere MFT to perform file transfer and workflows between networks. These capabilities enable push or pull transfer to and from internal networks. The product shares detailed logging and status reporting, which is ideal for customer, partner, and DMZ environments. As an organization providing solutions for many customers, this feature is particularly helpful to us. GoAnywhere MFT simplifies deployment in customer-restricted networks and reduces the need for VPN or inbound access.

GoAnywhere MFT provides a web-based interface for users to download or upload files securely using an SFTP client. This eliminates secure email or file sharing and reduces support overhead for external users, which is the main advantage.

GoAnywhere MFT includes GoFast, a high-speed file transfer module that helps us accelerate large file transfers over long-distance networks. We appreciate that it features end-to-end encryption, optimizes large files, and secures files that have been shared. I would rate this product an overall 8 out of 10.

Automation has transformed secure credential file transfers and now centralizes cloud data workflows with detailed audit visibility

  • November 27, 2025
  • Review from a verified AWS customer

What is our primary use case?

I use GoAnywhere MFT for automating and securing file transfers because our company mainly uses credential data. It is very mandatory to transfer it very securely. We use SFTP and FTPS for data file transfer for ERP, CRM, or databases. We also have trading partners, so it is very essential to transfer the data securely.

The main connection is AWS S3, as we use S3 for our primary storage. We have also connected GoAnywhere MFT to Salesforce. We connect it with Azure Blob for unstructured data. We have integrated AWS, Azure, and Salesforce.

For operations, we access control for administrators and external users through GoAnywhere's connectors. We authenticate against Active Directory. GoAnywhere has gateways to prevent firewall access and has a very secure network system. It is really helpful for connecting all these cloud platforms. The main reason is auditing. The detailed centralized audit logs and reporting are invaluable. Sometimes we lost lots of data, so it helps us keep backups.

The connectors are very important in GoAnywhere MFT. Connection with cloud is a crucial process because there is no chance of any errors. In that scenario, connectors properly handle all the network and all the audit logs. Connectors are very essential. Without connectors, we cannot do it manually because it gets very difficult to maintain all this process.

Till now, I personally do not use GoAnywhere Agents. My seniors have used it a lot, but I do not have any hands-on experience with that right now.

We use many lots of data in the form of secure forms, such as survey forms or employee forms. We use it a lot in our data pipelines.

In one project, I used the secure form. The scenario was about the landing pages of the GoAnywhere MFT server or something. The main process was that data collection was there and allows our organization to collect files and structured data. Forms and metadata from external parties are collected directly onto the secure environment. We have used secure forms whenever we collect the data from a third party. When we collect the data from a third party, there might be a lot of incorrect data or null values, so we have used the secure form there.

We mostly use GoFast feature on large data sets. On many cloud platforms, it took a long time to process that data or to transfer that data because we use terabytes of data in the daily workflow. GoFast really helps us transmit that data or do all the ETL processes on that data so efficiently and in a fast manner. Our ETL process was very slow on the traditional database, but when we started using GoAnywhere MFT, the whole workflow or data pipeline got very faster. It is a great feature for us.

Whenever we do meetings, I analyze all the timing saved because of all the automation in GoAnywhere MFT. Right now in our company, because of the automation processes, our DevOps team is saving time around 45 percent to 50 percent overall because of the automation. We are still improving our whole infrastructure and workflows for 70 percent to 80 percent automation, which will save the time around 60 percent to 70 percent. Right now 40 percent to 50 percent time is saving because of GoAnywhere MFT and automation.

I have multiple automations or processes happening within my organization, but they run on different platforms, such as different servers or using different APIs.

There is an individual team to manage these processes. I mainly work with data engineers to help them manage the data extraction, the cloud platform, and the infrastructure of our cloud platform. There is an individual team which has all the responsibilities of their respective departments. Each department has their tools and all the technicalities. I know about my tools. We use GoAnywhere MFT for file transfer, AWS and Azure for cloud, I also use Snowflake for sometimes helping the data engineers, and Docker.

What is most valuable?

The main reason behind using GoAnywhere MFT is automation. Earlier, we used to do many manual processes for maintaining all the data pipelines, and we were planning for automation. GoAnywhere MFT really helps in this scenario because it eliminates all the manual scripting in Linux and reduces human errors. It significantly saves time. Its protocols are very secure as compared to other platforms. It ensures data is encrypted in transmission and also for backup. The audit trails and reporting are very helpful. All these features are really helpful in our daily work.

The whole impact of using GoAnywhere MFT was very positive from the starting. It has significantly improved our security by centralizing all the file transfers under one secure and auditable platform. It has also boosted operational efficiency by automating repetitive tasks and allowing our whole IT staff to focus on higher-value work. It has definitely added overall positive impact on our organization.

What needs improvement?

I do not think there is any improvement needed in GoAnywhere MFT because right now it is working great. The UI is a little bit old and could be improved, but overall, it is the best. Till now, I do not have any complaints about that.

I would really want to see AI integration in GoAnywhere MFT. Right now, I cannot say all the processes are on automation. There is a need for human process. If the AI integration would be there for whole automation in the future, it will be very fine because it took a little bit of time. AI integration would be better for all the automation processes.

For how long have I used the solution?

It has been around 1.5 to 1.7 years that I have been working with GoAnywhere MFT as a DevOps engineer.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Regarding the experience with the stability of GoAnywhere MFT, I would say it is 80 percent to 90 percent stable. We have faced some kind of bugs or it took some loading time whenever the data set is very large, but it is okay. All the platforms take some time to load the data. We never faced any major bugs or major loads. It works efficiently and it is quite stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

We have integrated GoAnywhere MFT with our cloud platform, so it is very scalable because we have to keep our whole architecture and cloud platform scalable. We extract lots of streaming data from our clients or our customers, so we have to be prepared for scaling. That is the reason to use GoAnywhere MFT along with the cloud platform because it provides the best scalability. We never faced any issue about scalability such as shortage of storage or any other kind of issue. It is very scalable.

How are customer service and support?

Technical support for GoAnywhere MFT is very helpful. Personally, I have connected with them many times for learning the new features. When I was facing some learning issues in a feature, they helped me many times. Whenever we faced any issue such as some bugs or service errors, we have connected them and they really solve all the problems in a very quick manner. Their customer service is very great. Sometimes they took some long time to solve the issue, but they definitely solve the issue.

I would say nine because the tech support is great for GoAnywhere MFT. They really solve our problems which satisfies us. The platform is also very stable, scalable, and powerful. It is totally reliable to add it in our work. I would say nine out of ten to the customer service.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I just came here at this company, Proton Labs, one year ago, so I do not know about which platform they were using before GoAnywhere MFT. They have been using this software from the last two to two and a half years, so I do not know which tool they were using before that.

How was the initial setup?

The setup is not so complicated. The installation is very straightforward, especially with the platform being multi-platform compatible. We have installed it on Windows, Linux, and also on hybrid cloud. The configuration is very basic. It does not need any complicated learning or any experts' visionary. There was some challenging part that the complexity of designing and the fine-tuning is very advanced, so it needs some expert expertise. Otherwise, all the installation was very straightforward.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We only use GoAnywhere MFT for that before.

What other advice do I have?

I have a little idea about that from the pricing point of view regarding GoAnywhere MFT. As compared to other tools, such as clouds like GCP or AWS, I would say it is quite affordable in comparison with these cloud platforms and any other tools. It is quietly on the higher side, but it is okay because it provides a wonderful service. The customer service is great, so it is worth it.

I do not have any idea about the pricing, but I would say in case of benefits, GoAnywhere MFT really saves our time because before using it, my manager said the whole process was on manual mode and it was very time-consuming. Right now, our 50 percent to 60 percent workflow is on automation. The ETL process is on automation via GoAnywhere MFT to the cloud. It really saves our time. I can tell about time saving, but I do not have any idea about pricing.

I would recommend GoAnywhere MFT to a colleague at another company who says they the features, but the price of the solution is a bit high. It is primarily for organizations that need centralized and secure and automate a high volume of file transfer to meet their security and all the requirements. Only if they are ready to invest on the higher side. GoAnywhere MFT is really providing a great service, so they have to invest in it, even if it is on the higher side. It is their choice. I would recommend that it is a very good platform and it is really secure and helps to automate all the things in file transfer. I would definitely want to recommend them, but it is their choice after all, about the price.

The one major recommendation I would give about GoAnywhere MFT is to use it very securely because one error could just interrupt your whole file transfer or might lose your credential data. Use it very securely because one error could really lose your credential data. I would give this review a rating of nine out of ten.

Automates secure file transfers and workflows while centralizing administration and integrating with multiple systems

  • November 25, 2025
  • Review from a verified AWS customer

What is our primary use case?

I have used GoAnywhere MFT for secure file transfer automation. The primary use for this product is scheduling automated file transfers, managing SFTP and FTPS connections, and creating workflows for system-to-system file movement, as well as secure data exchange between internal and external systems.

What is most valuable?

The most impressive feature of GoAnywhere MFT is the strong security options. It supports encryption, secure protocols, auditing, and key management. Additionally, the centralized administration is excellent, with everything managed from one dashboard. The product is also stable for large file transfers. These are the best features I have experienced over six months.

GoAnywhere MFT agent is useful for automating tasks on remote servers without exposing them publicly. This is the main agent use I am utilizing in GoAnywhere MFT.

Secure Forms features in GoAnywhere MFT allow safe data collection directly from users with automatic routing and encryption. This is the Secure Forms feature I am currently using in my project.

GoFast noticeably improves transfer speed for large files in GoAnywhere MFT by accelerating file transfers in distributed environments.

GoAnywhere MFT supports connectors for multiple systems, including SAP, database, cloud storage, and REST APIs. I am specifically using the SAP integration through SAP connectors and APIs.

What needs improvement?

One of the main important improvements I need for GoAnywhere MFT is a better real-time monitoring dashboard and an improved user interface. I think a more modern and user-friendly interface would be beneficial, as multiple competing products have modern and user-friendly interfaces. Additionally, better debugging tools and clearer error logs would be helpful.

When I started using GoAnywhere MFT, I experienced complexities for projects that required experience to create them. The error logs can be hard to understand at first sight. However, with continued use of this product, I became more familiar and comfortable with it.

I believe GoAnywhere MFT could be more stable and enterprise-friendly overall. It is a strong and reliable solution for secure file transfers and workflow automation, offering excellent security features and dependable performance. The main areas of improvement are the user interface and debugging simplicity.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using GoAnywhere MFT for more than six months.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

GoAnywhere MFT supports active-active clustering, meaning more than one MFT instance can run in parallel. For load balancing, it can be more scalable for companies distributed across their cluster nodes, improving throughput. If one node fails, the system remains scalable. GoAnywhere MFT can be deployed on-premises, in the cloud such as AWS or Azure, or in any hybrid model. This flexibility makes it suitable for both large-scale and small-scale companies depending on the requirements of the company.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The price range for GoAnywhere MFT is around four to five thousand dollars annually. Since it is a large-scale product, the price can be adjustable within this range.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I have used IBM Sterling as an alternative to GoAnywhere MFT. GoAnywhere MFT is easier and more stable than IBM Sterling, and it is also more enterprise-friendly. It is less expensive than Cleo but has fewer advanced APIs. Overall, it offers better automation than many basic SFTP servers and provides a good balance of security, automation, and integration at an enterprise level.

What other advice do I have?

I would rate this product an 8 out of 10.

Has improved secure file sharing with automated workflows and encrypted forms

  • October 30, 2025
  • Review from a verified AWS customer

What is our primary use case?

My use case is for secure file transfer between internal systems and external partners in a financial service environment. We rely on it for automated nightly batches of jobs.

What is most valuable?

The best features I enjoy about GoAnywhere MFT are its automation and workflow studio. We use its drag and drop interface for building workflows in interpreter and powerful mode, which is the best feature we appreciate about this tool.

GoAnywhere MFT has improved my organization by making it easy to share files between two or more servers. From one computer, a user can share a file with a different user in an easy and secure way. End-to-end encryption allows data to be transferred between two servers or between two users. It is far more secure and easy for transferring files.

What needs improvement?

I think GoAnywhere MFT can improve in UI/UX redesigning and better cloud-native deployments. My environment is mostly built on the cloud, so if it were more compatible with the cloud, deployment would be easier for us.

I have it deployed on the cloud, but it does not provide better features on the cloud. I would appreciate enhancements for Kubernetes and serverless compute services.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using this solution for one and a half years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I would rate the stability a seven. I think it is a seven because sometimes it lags.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I would rate the scalability of GoAnywhere MFT as a nine. It is easy to use and scalable.

How are customer service and support?

I would rate the technical support between eight to nine. They provide great help. I would rate it a nine.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I do not use any other platforms to compare GoAnywhere MFT. We are compatible with MFT, which is why we are using it on our domain.

How was the initial setup?

The deployment overall was easier to use.

What about the implementation team?

GoAnywhere MFT was purchased earlier by my seniors. We have been using it since then.

What was our ROI?

I have seen a return on investment of fifty percent.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

My thoughts on the pricing are that it is cheap.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I do not use GoAnywhere Connectors for Salesforce, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or any other software.

What other advice do I have?

I have deployed GoAnywhere MFT Agents on remote servers to push and pull files securely. Using the agents is a great way to extend GoAnywhere MFT capability to branch offices and partner systems without exposing the main server.

I use Secure Forms with GoAnywhere MFT for collecting sensitive data from clients, such as KYC documents or onboarding forms. These Secure Forms have helped my business by being customizable and encrypted, which helps us avoid insecure emails and attachments.

I have not yet integrated the GoFast feature to accelerate data transmission with our environment, but I am expecting to in the future.

Between seven to eight people use GoAnywhere MFT. Maintenance such as updates or patching does not fall under our team responsibilities. I can recommend this product to different users and teams as it supports PING, SFTP, and HTTP protocols, which are more secure and easy to use. I gave this product a rating of nine.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Public Cloud

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

Has enabled secure file transfers for daily SOC analysis and supports cloud connectivity

  • October 29, 2025
  • Review from a verified AWS customer

What is our primary use case?

I work as a SOC analyst in my organization, and we usually use GoAnywhere MFT to transfer files from one premises or cloud environment to our systems for analysis. We install the GoAnywhere agent on the cloud environment to transfer files from that system to our local machine for analysis.

In our case, we usually obtain user logs or system logs for analysis or to review the system logs for any compromises at the endpoint. The data is not much in the GB range; we can say it probably stays in the MB range. We do not use the GoFast feature, but there are a few cases in the past where my team used that feature, though I do not have details about it now.

For the deployment process of GoAnywhere MFT, we have a specific team dedicated to deploying this software and all the agents that we require. We are the core users in our organization that use this application to transfer files between organizations in a secure manner, protecting data at rest and data in transit. We use the encryption protocol provided by the software to secure our data and use GoAnywhere MFT to conduct our SFTP work.

Approximately, my team has 37 members total, including three teams: the main SOC team, the FR (first response team), and the cloud security supporting team. We are 12 members in the CSS team, and I am sure that 12 members use GoAnywhere MFT. The FR team also uses it, with approximately 15 to 16 members in that team. The total is around 28 to 30 members that use this. I do not know about the upper management and what they use, but if they purchased GoAnywhere MFT, they probably use it as well.

What is most valuable?

GoAnywhere MFT provides us with significant security features. We used previous software, possibly FileZilla, but we did not get any AES in-transit encryption in that software. With GoAnywhere MFT, we are getting in-transit encryption with the AES standard protocol or algorithm.

We use a hybrid model for GoAnywhere MFT deployment.

What needs improvement?

The UI in GoAnywhere MFT does not require improvements, but the backend side where file transfers occur should have one system used to transfer files from end-to-end, from end server to end system. We had a few activities or events in the past where threat actors or hackers targeted MFT solutions or systems or software by exploiting zero-day vulnerabilities. I would say that part should not occur with GoAnywhere MFT in the future. From 2023, I do not think there was any occurrence until now, but in the future, there should not be any because we transfer valuable data from our end-user system to our systems for analysis and all the reports that we generate. There should not be any vulnerability so that a threat actor will not gain access to our data or other things.

For how long have I used the solution?

We have been using GoAnywhere MFT for approximately eight to nine months.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

For the stability of GoAnywhere MFT during file transfer, I faced a fail event. I am not sure if it is about a downtime or if it is a bug that the software has, or perhaps it is a connectivity issue at the end user. I rate this for stability at 9 out of 10 because there should be a scope for improvement.

I can say 9.5, or 9 to 9.5 out of 10 for the stability of GoAnywhere MFT.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

From the scalability perspective of GoAnywhere MFT, I did not transfer or use much data on the software because we transfer less than 1 GB of data within the systems or the cloud environment that we have. I can say during this range, it is the best experience. We had the best experience with the software and did not face any specific issue with it.

For scalability of GoAnywhere MFT, I am not sure about the perspective of highly transferring 100 to 200 GB of data. However, I can say with a 1 GB or 2 GB data transfer perspective, it is 9.3 out of 10.

How are customer service and support?

I did not get a chance to connect with technical support for GoAnywhere MFT because I have not had any incident that required engaging support. We use the software seamlessly to fulfill our goals and have all the resources and technology we want. I did not connect with technical support, but my senior probably did in the past, and I do not have details about that experience. On the UI perspective and software perspective, I give GoAnywhere MFT 9.5 out of 10. On technical support, it is probably the best one. We did not face any issue as far as I know.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We previously used IBM software and FileZilla for file transfer. Compared to those options, the user interaction and UI that GoAnywhere MFT provides is much better. I am not very familiar with the previous software, but the latest one that we have, GoAnywhere MFT, is the easiest and best MFT solution that we have right now. I think it is easy to use.

How was the initial setup?

I did not use any connector to integrate the software with our environment. We do use GoAnywhere MFT software logs loaded in our SIEM tool, Splunk. We have to examine the errors and where the transfer failed and what the issue was.

What about the implementation team?

For the deployment process of GoAnywhere MFT, we have a specific team dedicated to deploying this software and all the agents that we require.

What was our ROI?

GoAnywhere MFT is likely for the updates only when it comes to maintenance.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I do not have any information about the pricing for GoAnywhere MFT, such as which package my organization received or which subscription they obtained. However, it is good software to use. I do not have details about the pricing. It is managed by the management team in the SOC.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I did not get a chance to explore all the solutions available in GoAnywhere MFT. Based on how much I have used this software in my field or in my day-to-day work, I would rate it at 9.5 out of 10.

What other advice do I have?

We do not use the secure forms in GoAnywhere MFT. I can recommend GoAnywhere MFT to other users. Previously we used an SFTP solution because it is specifically built for SFTP file transfer. Now with this software, it provides connectivity with the cloud, automation, and scripting capabilities. We can say it is the best solution for cloud security and the SOC analysts that we usually work with.

From the improvement perspective, I can say that for the configuration and automation part, my end team was using GoAnywhere MFT for all the vulnerability management and patches. From our team perspective, we use this for file transfer. It was a good experience with this software because it has multiple use cases. My team is using this software, probably because someone recommended it or they found this software through a recommendation from senior members. It is a good solution. We have a base of the software that is required for security, including Splunk and CrowdStrike. I can say it is the best one in the market.

On my side, we use the SOPs that were made by our own team. We did not go to the main actual product website that they have as the documented website because we have a specific use case and we know how to use GoAnywhere MFT, and all the knowledge transfer is conducted from team member to team member. The documentation is clear, similar to the AWS documentation that I use. I can say it is clear and easy to understand. My overall rating for this product is 9 out of 10.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Supports complex file transfers between banks, vendors, and internal systems with reliable performance

  • October 02, 2025
  • Review from a verified AWS customer

What is our primary use case?

My use cases for GoAnywhere MFT involve interfacing with both banks and outside vendors since it's the university. We do a lot of interfaces, and many of them come through for the banks using our GoAnywhere MFT product, and we process into our SAP system.

It's not just banks; we also do outside vendors and outside providers. We handle both ways—into our SAP system through GoAnywhere MFT and out to outside vendors, banks, and hospitals. You name it, we do it.

What is most valuable?

The feature I find most valuable about GoAnywhere MFT is that it's intuitive.

It has all the things needed to build robust projects, giving you different resources, SFTP, and all the different things you might need to manipulate files. It's somewhat tricky as it's intuitive, however. You have to learn the scripting language. That said, they provide fairly good help.

We were fortunate enough when we first purchased the product to have them assist us with demos and teaching as a group. They offer online help to look things up.

For us, it satisfies our needs. We are getting into some more complex matters that I am concerned about, as there are a couple of features I wish they had. Until now, we've been able to accomplish everything we wanted.

What needs improvement?

We keep asking them to implement a feature for our upcoming project, which would benefit all other companies using the product.

One area for improvement in GoAnywhere MFT is that they don't have a real debugger. You have to manually walk through your projects. If you build a big scripting project, you have no way at the beginning to step through; you can't skip straight to a line, nor can you put a breakpoint and say, 'stop here' as in any normal debugging process. That makes handling complex projects very tedious. We are currently working to streamline a process for about 240 providers—our interface partners—and it's going to be very difficult because every time you run a project, you need to step through each line of code. If you're testing line 98 and are unsure what's going on, you must step through every single line each time you run it. That is its biggest downfall.

What I would love to see in GoAnywhere MFT is the ability to compartmentalize some of the code, allowing you to call different pieces. Instead of building one project all within itself, you could insert modules that you can use in multiple projects. Currently, it's not compartmentalized, and you can't take a piece of code to use elsewhere without copying the entire thing. In my humble opinion, it would be much better if they had a class-based or class-oriented system so that you could easily transfer code from one location to another or use it in other places. You want modularity within the project, but that's not available right now, and this significantly slows down our development operations.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using GoAnywhere MFT for about four years, since we first installed it.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I have never seen any lagging, crashing, or downtime when using GoAnywhere MFT, and that's one of the best things I can say about it.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

From my perspective, working at the university, I find GoAnywhere MFT to be quite scalable.

We also have a hospital group that works with it, which operates differently, however, they appear to manage tasks well. Yet, it would be even more scalable and useful if they improved the ability to plug in components, allowing you to easily call pieces of code from a project and eliminate the need for repetition.

To go off the charts and be a leader, they really need a debugger and should focus on enabling the breakdown of modules for integration with other projects. A project isn't just one thing; it should allow for calling additional resources. This would greatly enhance scalability.

How are customer service and support?

If I had to rate the support, I would rate it as an eight on a scale from one to ten. I haven't dealt with them directly. That said, overall, they seem to perform at about an eight level.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

How was the initial setup?

The initial deployment of GoAnywhere MFT was pretty easy for us. Once everything was set up properly, it was not very hard. Out of all the projects I have been involved with over 26 years at the university, that one actually went more smoothly than most. We had a good team working to get everything handled, so I would say it wasn't difficult at all. It took us around a month to set it up.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I have looked into alternatives to GoAnywhere MFT, and I remember examining a couple of options about four or five years ago when we made our decision. There was another one we compared it to. I cannot recall the name. We looked at MOVEit as the other option we evaluated.

What other advice do I have?

We do not use those connectors right now in GoAnywhere MFT. Our processes are very specific to our interface workflows.

Currently, we're not using it for workflow-type applications, although it might be something we can explore down the line.

We do not use the Agents or Secure Forms. Regarding data acceleration, we don't use GoFast either.

We're using it for very specific tasks, and if they explained options for utilizing it for other purposes, I would be open to exploring it.

I would indeed like to see better advanced documentation in GoAnywhere MFT.

I would rate GoAnywhere MFT overall as an eight out of ten. It's a great product and could easily reach a ten if it improved certain features.

Improved performance through faster file transfers and seamless API-based workflows

  • September 23, 2025
  • Review from a verified AWS customer

What is our primary use case?

My use cases for GoAnywhere MFT include file transfers, file downloading using REST API, and in some cases, file processing.

What is most valuable?

The best features of GoAnywhere MFT are file transfer and calling the REST API to get responses back and process those responses again. I appreciate the business logic we can use inside the workflow, which is feasible to implement.

I have used various connectors including SFTP, HTTPS, SharePoint, AWS S3 bucket, AS2, and other protocols for GoAnywhere MFT. Most connectors for GoAnywhere MFT are provided, and there is a cloud connector in the latest version, which allows connections with SharePoint or other cloud providers, such as Azure Blob or Azure Storage. These connectors are very important to operations because new connections are available. Connectivity to the cloud is crucial, and without connectors, we cannot perform file transfers.

The GoFast feature has accelerated file transfer to an optimum level and improved performance. It saves us about 15%.

What needs improvement?

They can add more functionalities in their workflow. For example, they could add improved functionalities for B2B integration similar to other competitors which are providing mapping. I want better mapping tools and file mapping for file conversion functionality.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I have worked with TIBCO MFT before using GoAnywhere MFT.

GoAnywhere MFT is good compared to other MFT tools. It's easy to learn, very flexible and secure, while supporting many protocols and features that other MFT tools don't offer.

How was the initial setup?

The deployment is very easy, but there should be some automation for deployment.

The initial installation or deployment takes approximately two to three days, depending on the number of clusters, nodes we are using, and gateways. In total, we can complete the setup within a week.

The solution requires regular maintenance, and upgrading the product is straightforward.

What was our ROI?

It saves us about 15% in efficiency.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

It's a cost-effective solution.

What other advice do I have?

I am using GoAnywhere Agent, which is a separate instance of GoAnywhere MFT that allows us to integrate remotely. I'm also using the GoFast feature to accelerate data transmission.

I will definitely recommend this product to other users because it's very easy to deploy, develop, and learn. It's also more cost-effective than other products. Learning GoAnywhere MFT takes about four weeks to feel comfortable.

I would rate GoAnywhere MFT overall a nine out of ten.
