Centralized solution to monitor multiple elements of our network infrastructure.
What do you like best about the product?
Zabbix is an excellent network monitoring software that provides us with a centralized solution to monitor multiple elements of our network infrastructure (health and integrity). Its monitoring, backup and alert generation functions are carried out automatically, efficiently and quickly. Zabbix collects all the information from the nodes previously distributed in strategic points, it captures them in detailed reports and delivers them in the form of graphs easy to understand and interpret, it is open source and its UI is Web-based, it also offers customizable templates, which can be easily adapted to the particular needs of the company, as well as preconfigured templates for the most commonly used network devices
What do you dislike about the product?
Their online user manuals are so detailed but at the same time so extensive that it is sometimes difficult to find what you are looking for, which makes many users give up using them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zabbix allows us to react quickly to problems that may arise in our network infrastructure or in one of the equipment that composes it. With zabbix we can continuously monitor all our areas, from the network and the distribution and routing topology (we use ring topology) to the server equipment, which allows us to guarantee a quality service with less interruption rates in the provision of telecommunications services.

ZABBIX enables accurate, effective and efficient monitoring.
What do you like best about the product?
Zabbix is open source, I like how stable and flexible it is, it can be easily implemented, configured and updated; in our case Zabbix allows us to continuously monitor the entire environment of our network infrastructure and each of its areas, our network infrastructure consists of equipment (carrier class switches) or telephone exchanges that are installed in different locations within the coverage, they are connected together by fiber optic links that make up the MetroEthernet"; we use the ring topology, which is formed by 7 rings along the coverage area, to ensure the redundancy of its links, the rings are numbered from 1 to 7 to determine the nomenclature of VLAN assignment and IP addresses. We install different nodes distributed in strategic points, Zabbix collects all the information from these nodes and analyzes them, in case of detecting any strange behavior it alerts us about a specific situation or problem in a very short time and delivers it to us in the form of graphs that are easy to interpret, which allows us to solve these problems quickly to maintain the continuity of the provision of our services, even can solve them before we even know of their existence, we also monitor the performance and capacity of our AWS server, thanks to the high availability support offered by Zabbix we can also monitor other services and business applications; its interface is web based, I like it and it is very useful for us to be able to log in using the same credentials we use in other tools, thanks to Zabbix we have the option to authenticate the logins with the LDAP (where our Active directory is located).
What do you dislike about the product?
I really do not dislike anything about this tool, but I do think that Zabbix UI should improve its visual appearance as it looks outdated and outdated, it would not hurt to innovate with more bright and cheerful colors to make the experience when you are browsing it more enjoyable, although this does not affect its operation at all but would make the experience more complete when using Zabbix, its operation and performance is great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The incorporation of Zabbix into our operations has had a highly positive impact on our ability to monitor and maintain our infrastructure. Thanks to this solution, we have been able to be more dynamic when detecting possible failures in our systems or in the network infrastructure itself, since Zabbix provides us with information in real time, its detailed reports allow us to make better decisions and facilitates us to solve any inconvenience that is arising in a short time, Zabbix has allowed us to improve the quality in the provision of our services since now we do not suffer so many interruptions in them.

Zabbix is a robust monitoring tool with which we supervise primarily our entire network infrastructure, Zabbix can monitor virtually any environment very easily, it is also forceful in identifying failures or strange behaviors in our network infrastructure, Zabbix collects all data from the nodes that we have previously located and aggregates them in the form of graphs easy to understand; It offers different configuration options, it is open source which favors customization and adaptation to the specific needs of the company, I like and it is a plus that their agents can be installed on most operating systems.
What do you dislike about the product?
Personally there is nothing I dislike about Zabbix, its capabilities and performance are high level, zabbix does a very good job at the time of tracking and identifying any anomaly or strange behavior in our network infrastructure; "as a recommendation", I think the user interface should be embellished a little more to create a more pleasant experience when navigating it; also I think the user interface is confusing for new users, these are aspects that I think should be taken into account.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zabbix allowed us to create internal and operational efficiencies, since with its use we were able to identify early on anomalies and strange behaviors in our network infrastructure and in the same way empowered us to make better decisions and implement more effective strategies to resolve them in time and thus prevent these problems from becoming bigger and taking us offline.

Sometimes it delays triggering alerts to configure media. And we need to run separate agent for this

Open source and license free is the only best part about zabbix.

UI lag and configuration components are complex. For configuring new alerts the process is very long

We got alerts proactively and this helped us preventing a lot of downtimes as well as slowness.Also there are number of times when our memory got exhausted but since we got proactive alerts we able to resolve that on time.

Zabbix is a very comprehensive advanced monitoring tool that allows us to monitor virtually any environment; we are currently monitoring Amazon EC2 instances (performance and availability), Azure virtual machines and each of the Gigabit Ethernet interfaces of the transport network, among others; Zabbix collects data from all nodes and aggregates it in the form of user-readable graphs and XL sheets; Zabbix allows us to perform automatic monitoring quickly and efficiently, I like the fact that it is open source, which makes it very flexible and customizable which is valuable, it is easy to use and can be adapted to virtually any use case. In addition, it is natively compatible with many technologies, integration with other learning products is good, and its agents can be installed on most operating systems.
What do you dislike about the product?
The documentation offered by Zabbix is not much; it is not complete and it is messy between versions; I also think that the terminology should be improved a bit, and many of the doubts that arise should be consulted with the Zabbix community.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Adopting Zabbix has considerably improved our operations and maintenance efforts, allowing us to take a more proactive approach to recognize potential failures or undesirable circumstances in our infrastructure. Thanks to this solution, we can immediately warn of any incident that could jeopardize the proper functioning of our systems and affect the quality of our service delivery. Thanks to its clear warnings and the extensive information it provides about the status of our network, Zabbix has helped us to minimize the response time when problems arise drastically. Even problems that used to take weeks to resolve can now be recognized and dealt with in a matter of minutes, as all devices are continuously monitored in real-time, giving us access to all data.

What do you like best about the product?
Zabbix automatically identifies all the services and open ports with the help of its zabbix agent. and later you can update the settings, which service you want to monitor or not. You can also configure your own media channels and the most important part is that all the collected monitoring data will the at your end own and which makes it more secure monitoring.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have faced that Zabbix agent automatically fetched the running services, and sometimes it shows duplicate services as well. Where one will show connected and others will show red with some error. And sometimes it takes time to trigger the alert mail as well.

By Zabbix, we easily identify whether the service is up and running or not, if it is not then reports immediately over the configured media. And also we configured that what is the server performance based on the API response time and other services response time.

What do you like best about the product?
Zabbix is an easy-to-use platform that allows us to centrally monitor network components. We can perform automatic monitoring, backup and alarming tasks quickly and effectively; it offers highly customizable templates that we can adjust to meet our specific needs and also includes pre-configured templates for the most common network devices. The detection rules provided by Zabbix are handy for detecting devices on different network segments across multiple protocols. In our company, we use Zabbix to control and monitor each of the Gigabit Ethernet interfaces in our transport network. We have classified the network by zones within a ring topology that includes UAM, GPON cabinets, and SPLITTER, among other elements. To collect accurate and timely data on the status and behavior of each interface, we placed probes at strategic points and included sensors and triggers. Additionally, Zabbix helps us verify and monitor BGP sessions with our international provider, which is essential to ensure excellent service delivery.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have any dissatisfaction with the way Zabbix works. Still, I do consider that the user interface should be modernized because it looks very old-fashioned; for example, I think they should start by changing the contrasts of the colors in it to make it look more avant-garde, this would be the only thing I have to say, but if we talk in a general context, it is a perfect tool with extraordinary capabilities.

Zabbix allows us to control all the moving parts of our network in real-time; now we have greater control and monitoring in each of the Gigabit Ethernet interfaces of our transport network, in the 6 Rings that cover the city and its surrounding sectors, in the UAMS, GPON cabinets, SPLITTER and other elements. Zabbix provides us with accurate data in real-time for each of them, allowing us to make the right decisions and provide quick solutions to any problem.

Zabbix is an excellent network monitoring solution; its implementation is simple, it is customizable, and it adapts perfectly to the needs and requirements of our company; Zabbix allows us to monitor virtual machines, services and network devices from servers to databases, among others and the most fantastic thing in real time, I love the flexibility of its design, performance and adaptability it offers.

Zabbix is a bit more demanding regarding resources than other monitoring solutions. It may require more powerful and specific server hardware for its correct operation, reflecting an increase in the initial investment costs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed to implement an effective network monitoring system that would allow us to supervise, manage and maintain our corporate network in real-time, would notify us of all events occurring on it, would enable us to see the traffic and its behavior to ensure continuity and quality in the provision of service to our customers. With its implementation, we can now avoid events that result in unplanned failure because we can make decisions in time.
