Useful and stable for collaborating in the cloud, although I prefer Google Drive

    Reviewed on Jun 05, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
It is very useful to have files in the cloud when working collaboratively, it provides speed and gives you a digital repository that anyone can review remotely. It is easy to understand and manage for users of all levels, and its price is justified if you are looking for a way to document processes in an orderly manner. I haven't tried it in integrations yet nor have I required support, which speaks well of the system's stability.
What do you dislike about the product?
I tend to prefer Google Drive as it offers an integrated package of tools for the same price. Its widespread use also makes things much easier with clients and users with little digital proficiency.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The integrations could be strengthened, the tool is very good but also very specific. I can't see the value of this function as an isolated element.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Dropbox is its lightning-fast, reliable file syncing, along with the ability to access my files instantly across any device.
What do you dislike about the product?
I generally dislike Dropbox because of its high subscription costs and the strict 2GB free tier, which feel underwhelming compared with competitors. Beyond that, I’ve also run into several common issues: the desktop app can be resource-heavy, the search functionality feels limited, and there aren’t built-in project management tools that would make team collaboration easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox addresses the core challenges of scattered digital files, limited device storage, and clunky team collaboration by centralizing your content in a secure cloud-based space.

It keeps documents accessible anywhere, supports collaboration with shared folders, and ensures data security with reliable backups. Its simplicity, speed, and integration with other tools make managing files effortless, boosting productivity without unnecessary complexity.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about Dropbox is its limited free storage and the way costs rise quickly for larger teams or advanced features. Syncing can sometimes be slow with very large files, and offline access isn’t always seamless. Its collaboration tools feel basic compared to competitors, leaving room for improvement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox is solving problems of fragmented file storage, version control issues, and difficulty in sharing large files securely. By centralizing documents in the cloud, it ensures accessibility across devices, smooth collaboration with teammates, and automatic backups. This benefits me by reducing chaos, preventing data loss, and streamlining teamwork into one reliable hub.

Would you like me to highlight how Dropbox compares with alternatives like Google Drive or OneDrive in terms of solving these same problems?
