Feels expensive for personal usage

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is convenient for quickly transferring any files with other members. It also is decent option for storing all your photos.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing is slightly expensive than expected. Other cloud hosting services are cheaper.
I am not sure of the security and integrity of my data as the company announced a data breach in 2024.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When I have to share large files with my family in another country, then I use dropbox.

Easy storage without even thinking about it

  • June 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Not having to worry about where my items are stored. Being able to access client files and information while out on appointments has been a game changer for me
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes have issues with file size and sharing
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox is helping us tackle some real headaches when it comes to managing files, keeping our team synced, and working more efficiently—especially when we're juggling multiple projects or working remotely. Here’s how we benefit from it in our day-to-day collaboration:

- Scattered content and version confusion
We’ve all had that moment—someone edits the wrong version, or we lose track of the final draft. With Dropbox, we keep everything in one place and work from the latest version, so we’re always on the same page.
- Inefficient feedback loops
Instead of hunting through email threads or waiting for someone to respond in chat, we can drop comments directly on documents, images, and even videos. It keeps the feedback flowing smoothly and cuts down on those “Did you see my note?” moments.
- Disconnected tools and workflows
Dropbox connects seamlessly with the tools we already use—Slack, Zoom, Google Docs—so we’re not constantly bouncing between apps. Everything just works together, which means we can stay focused on the task at hand.
- Remote collaboration challenges
Whether we're in the office, on the road, or working from home, Dropbox gives us shared access to everything we need. Real-time editing and syncing help us stay aligned, no matter where we are.

Of the best apps for Cloud storage

  • June 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
-It is very practical for sharing files: Upload a document and in seconds you can send it with a link. It is perfect for working in a team without complications.
-It syncs well between devices: I can start something on the computer and continue on the phone without any problem. That has saved me several times.
-It has a good version history: If you delete something by mistake or need to revert to a previous version, you can recover it without stress.
What do you dislike about the product?
- The free space is very limited: The free version fills up very quickly. If you don't pay, you have to keep deleting things all the time.
- The app can be somewhat slow at times: Especially on computers with fewer resources (which has happened to me on several occasions), it seems to struggle to start or sync quickly.
- The pricing system is not very flexible: There are few intermediate plans. Either you have very little, or you pay for much more than you really need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Speed and synchronization with large files: In projects with heavy multimedia, sometimes uploads or downloads take too long, even with a good connection. This affects us when we are racing against the clock.
Confusing web application, especially on mobile: Our less tech-savvy clients get lost navigating the web version on their phones: buttons that lead to downloading the app or to paid plans, without understanding how to download a photo.
What I would recommend is optimizing the upload/download speed and the stability of the sync system, especially for large files.

Always there when I need it

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Dropbox is that it just works. No weird settings, no fuss drag a file into the folder and boom, it’s on all my devices. I’m constantly switching between my laptop, phone, and work computer, so having my stuff synced without even thinking about it is a lifesaver.I also use it a ton to share files with other people. Instead of messing around with huge email attachments, I just send a Dropbox link and we’re good. And being able to go back to older versions of a file? Total lifesaver more than once.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, the free plan fills up way too fast. I get that it’s a business, but it’d be nice to have just a little more space before needing to upgrade. Also, some of the newer features feel geared more toward businesses, which is fine, but they kind of clutter things up for those of us who just want the basics.
The interface could also use a bit of a refresh it works, but it hasn’t really changed much in years. Still, it’s one of those tools you don’t notice until it’s gone and then you really miss it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox makes it super easy to keep all my files organized and accessible no matter where I am. I don’t have to email myself documents or carry around USB drives anymore everything’s just there, whether I’m on my phone, laptop, or work computer. It also saves me when I need to share stuff with others. I can just send a quick link and avoid the whole “file too large to send” headache. Plus, having version history has saved me a couple of times when I messed something up and needed to go back. Basically, it helps me stay sane and keep everything running smoothly.

Dropbox Is Polished, But Not Practical for My Workflow Anymore

  • June 26, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
While my overall experience with Dropbox has been smooth and reliable, I find myself using it less and less over time. The free plan’s storage limit feels too small by today’s standards, especially when compared to other services
What do you dislike about the product?
Most of my files don’t require constant cloud syncing, and I already pay for Google storage for photo backups and Office 365 for work-related files on OneDrive. With those tools already integrated into my ecosystem, Dropbox ends up feeling like a standalone solution—clean, but ultimately redundant. It’s hard to justify paying for yet another cloud service that overlaps with what I already have.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Backup my personal files

Simple and Reliable Dropbox cloud storage

  • June 26, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
File storage and sharing with Drop box is really easy. The connection is quick and smooth regardless of the device, and its interface is so smooth and easy to use even by beginner.
What do you dislike about the product?
It only gives you very small storage that is free and the most features of advanced storage plans are usually found in the premium plans. In addition editing documents is not as smooth as it's competitors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It assists us in backing up, storing and sharing files safely on a cross-team and cross-device level. It is particularly beneficial in offshore work and file access is easy and uniform wherever we may be.

A reliable ally in the mobile workflow

  • June 26, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As a mobile developer using Flutter, I highly value its ease of use. From the get-go, setup was quick and painless, which speaks volumes about its ease of implementation. I use it daily to share assets, builds, and documentation with my team, and its high frequency of use is justified by how well it integrates with my workflow.
The available features cover practically everything I need: real-time synchronization, version control, cross-platform access, and easy sharing options. I also highlight how well it integrates with other tools, which is essential when working with multiple services and environments.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the overall experience has been very positive, customer support could be more responsive. On a couple of occasions, I had technical questions, and responses took longer than expected. Additionally, the free plan falls short if you work with large design files or builds; I'd like a little more generosity with input storage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox makes it easy to share builds and assets, access them from any device, and keep everything in sync, saving me time and improving team collaboration.
