Really enjoy the ease of use of Virtru through Gmail.
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use for our team members. Once the browser app was installed, users could toggle security on or off with ease. Training was minimal and our clients were able to understand how to respond fairly easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
Virtru for Drive...not very reliable. For a remote team that utilizes multiple browser apps, it seems that the Virtru for Drive could be disconnected. We have had times when it would continuously access to reconnect only to ask again on a refresh or changing of a folder. It has been a constant issue even with multiple support tickets. Sometimes days would go by before a response relating to this. Virtru for Email is a different story and we have had great success on that end.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has provided an easy method for our users to send secure emails to our clients. At the same time, we did not have to move from our Google Workspace and training was very easy.

Great integration with Gmail

So easy to use, easy to add users, and works so well with GMail

Has limitations, could offer more security controls.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need to send confidential documents containing protected health information and Virtru allows us to do this very easily. All without another system!
Have the confidence of security with your email and file sharing.
What do you like best about the product?
Having confidence the confidential information being shared is safe.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes recipients reported being unable to open the secure emails.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
HIPAA/confidentiality compliance.
Extension keeps crashing my google business mail
What do you like best about the product?
I love that it's easy to send encrypted messages. I like being able to review sensitive or flagged emails from my team.
What do you dislike about the product?
The extension crashes my email multiple times a day. I have to log out of gmail and back in often. I have uninstalled the extension and stopped using Virtru as much as I would like to because of the inconvenience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need to be HIPPA compliant and it has been an easy way to meet that need for over a year.

Security of sensitive information, one click to ensure security.

Glitches- causing email to stop working at times. Deletion of emails once wirtten out and having to start email over again.

It keeps the sensitive information safe and secure.

What do you like best about the product?
Virtru protects our clients sensitive information.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of our clients have issues viewing the emails, I believe due to filters on their end but still can be a hassle.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is solving the problem of protecting sensitive information. Which if not protected, would result in serious fines/penalties.

That I know who exactly will receive my messages

When attaching files, sometimes though I thought I already attach it and click send, but in the end, there's no attachment nor can I send the message
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I know it is the recipient whom I intend to send the message who receives the message and their personal information is protected
I LOVE this service, it makes it so easy for me to send emails containing PHI in an easy way.
What do you like best about the product?
How fast and easy it is to usem very simipe.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is hard to use on a mobile device and sometimes it stops working on my desktop and I have to refresh.

To send patient information to external parties as well as internal parties so that we can collaborate on patient care together,,
Virtru needs work
What do you like best about the product?
For me, there is very little that helpful about Virtru. Other than being integrated with Google, I don't find it helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Virtru is clunky to use. It isn't integrated with Outlook. When using Outlook, one needs to open a separate web page to be able to read the email. I have had clients tell me to send reports unencrypted because they don't want to deal with using Virtru. I am constantly having to sign in with Virtru to be able to read emails.

I don't believe it is solving anything.
Others are sadly having issues opening
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to was to install and use. We could leave it on so we would never forget to turn it on when sending essential emails. In the past, we used it, and it was great.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't particularly appreciate that others we send emails to are having difficulty opening the messages. It has caused a lot of issues because we are sending essential documents s daily and then having to find a way to resend them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Virtru is helping with confidentiality and ensuring we are not sending unsecured emails. It is helping to keep our and our clients information safe when sending information through email.
