What do you like best about the product?

Ease of use versus Dropbox when it comes to new users, or freelancers in particular.

What do you dislike about the product?

The inability to pause upload/syncing rate to pereserve bandwidth while uploading files elsewhere (to Frameio or via MASV for example).

Dropbox has the ability to "pause" syncing for an alotted amount of time, please add this functionality.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

It's solving how we work with freelancers and onboard artists to our cloud, without being a confusing mess (ex. bringing on someone to use our Dropbox when they already have a Dropbox account, causing lots of confusion, wasting time and money.)

What do you like best about the product?

It allows myself and my coworkers to collaborate seamlessly across the world.

What do you dislike about the product?

Occasionally there are hiccups in files properly uploading to the cloud. It's also very important that you have HIGH internet speeds, especially when working with video files. Not really anything that you can do about that on lucidlink's end though.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

It allows my coworkers to work on the same projects across the world. Without lucidlink, we'd have to physically mail hard drives back and forth, which simply wouldn't work.

What do you like best about the product?

It allows editors across four continents to work concurrently and seamlessly on the same project.

What do you dislike about the product?

not much, just the price is quite high for a small production company like us

multi editor setup / ability to work across different timezones / automatically back up

What do you like best about the product?

I loved being able to connect lucidlink to Premiere Pro and how they integrate. Makes it very easy to edit videos remotely and with a team. Especially since you don't have to download the footage and reconnect it with lucidlink. Support is great too if you have any issues

What do you dislike about the product?

The only downside is that you need pretty fast internet speeds when editing footage directly from the filespace but that's quite achievable with internet speeds nowadays. It wasn't too much of an issue

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Lucidlink filled the gap the premiere pro had with remote video editing. You can edit videos directly from the filespace without having to wait long periods of time and using up computer space to download all of the footage and edit locally.

What do you like best about the product?

I like that LucidLink is easy to use. It has allowed my team, with varying levels of technical expertise, to share files and work in the cloud. It also integrates easily into our everyday systems.

What do you dislike about the product?

Some parts feel a little clunky and have a bigger learning curve to use, but once you learn the system it seems easy enough. Sometimes it goes offline when it should be connected. There are a lot of updates, which ultimatley is a good thing, but it also feels like there’s constantly a new one.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are a small video team who often works remotely, LucidLink has allowed us to work as if things are saved on a local drive-- one person can film and easily share files for another person to edit. It is so much easier than using dropbox or googledrive, files are transfered fast.

What do you like best about the product?

Everyone on this team is clearly motivated by a mission, and it comes through in everything they do. Their responsiveness is strong, the assistance is clear, and the engagement feels genuinely human and approachable.

What do you dislike about the product?

Nothing in particular. I’d just like to see more capabilities for vibe coding integration, and for it to natively support Claude Code, Lovable, etc.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

It provides a file system that can sit in front of many kinds of local and cloud object storage, making it look like an effectively infinite disk to my desktop and to the apps I build.

What do you like best about the product?

The ability to have my projects stored in the cloud, with versioning (and backup), as well as the ability to collaborate with remote editors/assistant editors makes LucidLink a truly outstanding product that feels like a necessity for modern day post production.

What do you dislike about the product?

Unfortunately however, LucidLink isn't without its flaws. It can be tricky to troubleshoot, and I have had a couple instances where the files haven't properly uploaded, a project has become corrupted, or connections just fully drop. There was a period of about a month where the system became so unreliable I almost considered abandoning it entirely. Thankfully working alongside customer support we seem to have resolved most of the issues.

Additionally, while the cost is *relatively* affordable, for small indie projects or freelancers the cost is enough that you definitely need to justify it. I wish there was a more cost effective tier that would make it feel like a no-brainer to use.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

The two biggest problems that LucidLink is solving is backups/project versioning, as well as remote collaboration.

Syncing is quick and the UI is intuitive.

There are occasional glitches where it disconnects, and there's added friction to sharing files with non-LucidLink users.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

It's helped avoid syncing issues that we had previously with Google Drive, which streamlines our workflow and ensures that everyone is accessing the same files.

What do you like best about the product?

UI / UX
There is barely any learning curve because it doesn't have a complex interface. It simply shows up as a standard hard drive in your Finder or Windows Explorer.

Verdict: Outstanding. The best UI is the one you already know how to use.

Integrations
It integrates at the OS level, meaning it works flawlessly with any app. It’s a lifesaver for media creators using Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut. On the backend, you can hook it up to AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or use their bundled storage.

Verdict: Perfect for creative workflows.

Performance
Instead of downloading huge files, LucidLink streams only the specific data blocks you need on the fly. You can scrub a 100GB video timeline instantly with zero lag, provided you have decent internet.

Verdict: Black magic. The performance is incredible.

Pricing / ROI
It’s not cheap, and costs can add up per user and per terabyte. However, for post-production houses or agencies, the ROI is massive. You stop paying editors to sit around waiting for files to download.

Verdict: Pricey for solo freelancers, but worth every penny for remote teams.
