Effortless Service Deployment and Bandwidth Flexibility
What do you like best about the product?
The platform offers straightforward and flexible ways to deploy new services to additional sites and to the cloud. Adjusting circuit bandwidth is also simple, whether you need to increase or decrease it as requirements change.
What do you dislike about the product?
The provisioning process may be somewhat less efficient when there is a private cross-connect between Megaport and the end user but that's not necessarily a Megaport only issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Megaport has made it much easier for us to deploy services rapidly between our sites. The convenience of establishing connectivity between our locations, the cloud, and IXPs through a single Megaport connection is extremely valuable. This approach eliminates the need to set up multiple circuits, which would otherwise be both time-consuming and more costly.
simpler and more flexible
What do you like best about the product?
Megaport has made our data center and cloud connectivity much simpler and more flexible. The on-demand NaaS model lets us scale bandwidth and set up connections quickly without long provisioning times. Network performance and reliability have been excellent, and integration with major cloud providers is seamless. Overall, Megaport provides a fast, dependable, and scalable networking solution that greatly supports our hybrid cloud strategy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much. If Megaport to be available in the India region in the future, it would help us much.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Megaport VXC to connect to public Cloud. Also use Megaport as backbone underlay for our SD-WAN service. It provides low-latency and reliable network connectivities.
Wide Exchange Access Across Regions—No Complaints So Far
What do you like best about the product?
The platform provides access to a variety of exchanges across different locations and regions.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, I haven't found anything to dislike about Megaport.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Megaport has enabled us to move away from our on-premises data centres, yet we are still able to maintain seamless connectivity with all of our cloud services and third-party suppliers. We refer to this setup as our Connectivity Hub.

What do you like best about the product?
What's not to like? It's cost effective, super fast, flexible, resilient, reliable and automatable.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wish there was a last mile solution so we could get actual megaports in customer sites :-)

Megaport is leading the way in solving modern connectivity challenges and innovating as they go. As a seller, this gives me additional tools to more effectively engage customers and create new partnerships.
DC agnostic connectivity is amazing
What do you like best about the product?
the global reach and dc agnostic behavior of Megaport is the major selling point. being able to seamlessly peer with other megaport customers is amazing too!
What do you dislike about the product?
configuration of MCR is a little too simplistic, it feels a lot of features of a virtual router are obfuscated and potentially missing

Helping to simplify network peering, in our case, cloud providers

Great use of website design and very easy to setup.

Hard to always identify where an issue resides, meaning on the customer side or Megaport

Point to point connectivity has always been an expensive endeavor. Megaport makes is so much easier to setup and we don't have to own our own point to point networking
Megaport has been a quick way to connect our customer's networks to their respective cloud services.
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use interface, wide reach of cloud locations and datacenters.

Haven't experienced any downsides that are standing out to me.

Helping provide a private path for customer's networks to their datacenters at a cost effective rate. It's helped us be more competitive.
Doing well so far
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to configure Megaport to meet our needs real-time through the website.
Being able to use Terraform to configure Megaport. Currently we are using the website until other feel comfortable with configuring Megaport. Then I hope we can transition to terraform.
The help we have been able to get. Our sales executive, customer success manager, solutions architects and support@megaport.com have all been willing to help and in reasonable time frames too.

What do you dislike about the product?
The monthly cost of the cross-connects at the data centers. I understand you are just passing along the costs, but we had a vendor that would charge $150/month versus the $400/month from Megaport. We had to go with the vendor.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are migrating from PacketFabric to Megaport and a number of PacketFabric employees are migrating to Megaport.
