Automox - A tool that should be in every IT team toolkit
What do you like best about the product?
Super easy to setup, customer support is resposive and helpful! If you have a blended environment, it is easy to scope policies to your windows and mac machines. The reporting is great and easy to follow.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the Otto AI should only be used as means to help you, there are times that is has thrown out some really bizzare responses. That will take some time to mature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a blended environment (50/50 mac and windows), and this greatly helps us with patching both OS's. Cuts down on trying to manage 2 different tools.

Automox is a great solution that just works
What do you like best about the product?
Automox is a great solution that works really well across all platforms. I have tested against Tanium and for ease of use, functionallity, performance, and platform support Automox out performed in all areas. Not only did I test the product but the support as well and their support team is very responsive, add the community support that they have you can get most any issue resolved quickly. If you know power shell then you can use Automox to do even more.
Their third party support is very good as well. I was able to install the agent on vendor supplied appliances in a monitor only mode, this allowed me to keep my vendors in compliance when they were found to not updating security patches in a timely manor. For example Automox was able to detect Suricata signature updates and found out that one of the vendors had a configuration issue that stopped the signatures from updating. I was able to catch this and work with the vendor to get this resolved, without the notification from Automox I would have never known that this was not updating.
Emplemetation could not be any easier, just download the agent and push it out using the automation platform of choice. I was able to use PDQ Deploy to push this out to all end points with no issues. Its integration with Crowd Strike end point protection allows you to deploy using their agent to deploy.
I have found that once you get it setup the way you want it with the groups and patching profiles you do not need to log in to the console very often. Just setup your reports and it will tell you when there is an issue. I do logon to the console on a weekly bases just to confirm everything is working.

What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I would like to see improved would be the dashboard, feels a little outdated and needs a refresh.

I am able to monitor all applications across Windows, Linux, and Mac systems, local and remote, then push out patches to those that need it and remove software that is against our policies.
