What do you like best about the product?

I like the ability to collaborate with others on the platform including the ability to communicate, share tasks, and create versatile forms. I especially like that Asana allows you to add tabs within projects. For example, one project can have tabs that you personalize for notes, additional planning, etc. These tabs allow you to have action items that automatically populate to your project tasks.

What do you dislike about the product?

This might be silly but I don't like the notifications that I receive for Asana. The notifications that I receive via email often lead me to view notices in the online version of Asana instead of the desktop version which is what I have. I also think the notifications sent via email are too heavy and convoluted with information that the actual update is buried.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Asana is helping my team achieve a standard way of communication that allows us to include files in one place. It's also helping us stay organized, distribute responsibilities, and track progress of projects. Finally, Asana is helping us get a sense of our work loads on a day to day basis. For some projects, seeing tasks laid out and who needs to be involved gives us a sense of how much capacity is needed for certain efforts.

What do you like best about the product?

The boards and subtasks, and the fact you can add custom automations to improve the efficiency of the board. For example I use a rule that when something is changed I can email someone which is superhelpful.

What do you dislike about the product?

I think sometimes it is not that intuitive and I want to do something and It will not let me which is disappointing. I think it can be improved by becoming slightly more user friendly.

It is making my workflow more efficient

The pricing is not very friendly for small teams

Visibility of all projects. Ease of task tracking. Project planning.

What do you like best about the product?

I have a small custom cake business and I used to write down orders in a notebook, delivery date, flavor, and if it had any special decoration. The problem was that sometimes I forgot to check the notebook on the day I needed to start baking something, and I ended up working at night to not let a client down. Now each order is a task with subtasks for each stage, baking, filling, decorating, and each with its own date. Last week I saw in advance that I had two big cakes on the same day and was able to organize my hours better instead of realizing it the night before.

What do you dislike about the product?

At first, I struggled to get used to creating a new task every time an order came in, it felt like an extra step compared to just quickly writing it down in the notebook, so some orders went unrecorded the first two weeks until I got into the habit.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Not relying solely on my memory or a notebook that sometimes stayed at home has significantly changed how I organize the week. Seeing the dates coming in advance instead of discovering them on the same day has saved me from more than one night working late. Creating the task each time was an adjustment at first, it felt slower than just jotting something down by hand, but now it's a normal part of how I receive an order.

I love being able to customize my boards and add guests to my account

So far most of the downsides are just me needing to learn more in the platform although k wish it was easier to love a task from one project to another

Asana helps my coworkers know what is going on across projects and clients so nothing gets dropped

Great for team-based project management. I like how you can add details and notes.

Completed tasks still show up in ways that aren't clear that it's been completed - not an intuitive interface

Helps the team divide and conquer on projects which helps keep us all on track and prevents things from falling through the cracks

What do you like best about the product?

I like Asana's AI integration and easy-to-use communication features, which simplify tasks and save manual labor. It's really handy that it connects well with my email and calendar, enhancing overall productivity and increasing the chances of adoption within my firm.

What do you dislike about the product?

I think the dashboard is relatively slow, and it frustrates me that I cannot directly access my teammates from the dash button but have to ask questions via tasks. Also, there's no option for expanding sub-tasks for sub-tasks, which makes the tool harder to use on big projects. Additionally, the governance options aren't easy to use, as I can't add other people's projects to portfolios as a super admin and don't have a centralized view of only the core-strategic projects. It would be nice to have a clear distinction between personal trial projects and the official bigger projects that are part of the company's core strategy. For those core projects, I'd like the ability to add them into portfolios to better regulate and design our reporting.

Asana simplifies team communication and collaboration, providing better insights for management while reducing manual labor and improving tool adoption.

What do you like best about the product?

It helps us organize our work and I love creating templates for onboarding and offboarding so we don't miss anything accidentally.

What do you dislike about the product?

There is so much power in Asana, it can feel overwhelming figuring out what to do. I also made a mistake with sharing a board and confidentiality can be hard to maintain if you're not well versed in it.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Keeping the team aligned on todo's and helping act as a second brain.

What do you like best about the product?

I appreciate the automations and the visualization of group projects and how personal tasks can be funneled to a personal task sheet.

What do you dislike about the product?

The branding for forms isn't great. I have to build a separate logo in canva to make it fit Asana's template. I also wish I had access to brand the whole site to fit our organization's branding guide.

The ability to create multiple projects and assign tasks to team members.

Complex. Requires training to use to its fullest ability

Asana is helping solve the challenge of keeping multiple loans, documents, deadlines, and processing steps organized in one place. Instead of relying on emails, spreadsheets, or individual follow-ups to determine where a loan stands, Asana gives us a centralized view of each file and what still needs to be completed.
