Collaborative workspaces have unified project roadmaps and knowledge tracking while reducing communication gaps

  • November 28, 2025
  • Review from a verified AWS customer

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for Notion is project management and knowledge tracking. For project management and knowledge tracking, we mostly use it for roadmaps. In a typical workflow, we assign things that need to be done using Notion for roadmaps, and since it is collaborative, anyone can come and update those tasks.Knowledge tracking is also a major thing for us. When we do knowledge tracking in Notion, we make sure that everyone can come and collaboratively add to what is already existing and ensure it is always up to date.

How has it helped my organization?

Notion has impacted my organization positively by allowing us to do things faster without communication gaps related to knowledge and tribal knowledge.Notion has reduced the number of back-and-forth communications between the team by at least three times. The tribal knowledge that we had has considerably reduced because people can collaboratively update the content and ensure that everything is up to date.

What is most valuable?

The best features Notion offers are collaboration and team collaboration. What stands out to me about the collaboration features is sharing knowledge. More than real-time editing, it is that people who know things can modify content accordingly so that things will always be up to date. One more thing I would add about the features is the integrations. We use Slack, which is integrated, and our Git notifications are integrated to Notion, so we can keep track of everything in a single place.

What needs improvement?

Overall, Notion is doing its purpose well. One thing I may add is that it would be great if Notion had a team chat within the tool itself.A chat function within Notion would be great and would help collaboration to be even better.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Notion for almost three years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Notion is stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Notion is heavily scalable, and we did not have a problem with scalability at all.

How are customer service and support?

Customer support for Notion is great.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Negative

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Before Notion, we used Jira to manage our project management and Confluence for knowledge management. We switched to Notion because it was far easier, simple, and highly customizable.

How was the initial setup?

I purchased Notion through the AWS marketplace.

What was our ROI?

I have seen a return on investment in terms of time saved. I don't have a specific metric, but definitely a significant amount of time has been saved, at least two times over.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing was fair.

What other advice do I have?

My advice for others looking into using Notion is that if you want a tool that helps you with many things in a single place, that is extremely simplified and heavily customizable where creativity has no limitation, Notion is the tool that helps you with everything. I have given this review a rating of ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Public Cloud

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

Amazon Web Services (AWS)
