Notion Centralized Our Projects and Boosted Team Productivity
Reviewed on Aug 05, 2026

What do you like best about the product?
I’m able to give each team member a tailored view of their tasks, and that’s made a noticeable difference in our productivity. Notion has been a strong solution for tracking projects because all of our notes live in one place, and the whole team can easily check the current status at any time. I also like that it connects directly to our email, meetings, and Google Drive, which helps keep everything centralized.
The pricing works well for us, especially since guests can be granted free access to each database. The AI system has also been extremely helpful while I’ve been setting up project trackers and calendar views. The personal agent capability is useful too, although it does seem to burn through the monthly credits pretty quickly. Overall, unless my dev team builds an internal database with similar functionality, I haven’t found another system that fits my team’s needs as well.

What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the views on a page could be nested under one another, so I could keep my main tasks at the top and place less-frequent subtasks underneath within the same view, but still shown separately. I’d also love the ability to use a different page record view depending on the database, even if one is simply a linked view of another. Right now, I have two linked views of my main database for three different departments, and it would be really helpful if each department could have its own page layout based on their needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion has helped our team track projects in a way that Google Sheets and Excel couldn’t. We’re able to keep all our data in one place, with more information readily available to every team member. Each person can now get a clear, specific overview of their own project tasks without being bombarded by everyone else’s tasks.

A Flexible Workspace for Organizing Ideas, Projects, and Knowledge
Reviewed on Aug 05, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Notion is its flexibility in organizing information within a single workspace. I use it to manage study notes, project documentation, research references, content ideas, and task lists. The clean interface, customizable pages, and database features make it easy to structure information according to my workflow. I also appreciate its support for tables, checklists, code blocks, and embedded content, which helps me keep technical notes and project planning organized. Overall, Notion improves my productivity by reducing the need to switch between multiple note-taking and planning tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Notion is highly flexible, that flexibility can also create a learning curve for new users. Setting up pages, databases, and workflows from scratch can take time compared to more structured note-taking applications. I have also noticed that large workspaces with many linked pages can occasionally feel slower to navigate. Although the platform offers extensive customization, some advanced features require planning before they become truly effective. Overall, these are minor drawbacks compared to its productivity benefits.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps me keep my notes, project documentation, research materials, and task planning organized in one place. I use it to manage study notes, track data analytics projects, organize research references, and plan content ideas for YouTube and Pinterest. Instead of maintaining information across multiple applications, I can centralize everything in a single workspace. This has improved my organization, reduced the time spent searching for information, and made it easier to plan and complete academic and personal projects.

What is love most about notion is it's ability to replace multiple apps with one flexible system.
Its like having Google docs, trellis and Evernote combined, but with more customization.
Its like having Google docs, trellis and Evernote combined, but with more customization.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest frustration about this app is that notion shifted from a simple flexible tool to a cooperate AI heavy platform .
This makes it feels bloated.

Standout Integration and Easy Learning Curve
Reviewed on Aug 04, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Integration is the standout feature for me, especially with the customized database. It also has an easy learning curve, which makes it simple to get the most out of all the features.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not so much a dislike, but it is the pace at which we have to keep up on the speed of features coming out. Often have to rely on popular Youtube channel to consolidate the information so I know what I can take advantage of.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This is how I operate across both my personal and professional life. So I would say it is not some much the problems i am solving, but knowing where I will go.

Game-Changing Nested Toggle Lists and Flexible Pages
Reviewed on Aug 04, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I like quite a few things! Nested toggle lists are probably at the very top, as they really changed the game when it comes to making electronic documents shorter. Checkboxes were also awesome and ahead of Google drive, as were nicely formatted URLs as "Mentions". I also like being able to use emojis to visually categorize pages and sections, etc. Databases good once you set them up (working with them is another story).
What do you dislike about the product?
Notion seems to lack an easy autocorrect or spellcheck! I'm constantly manually changing spelling. I'm not sure why that's not easier. Also, the databases can actually be a pain, as mentioned. Notion isn't a spreadsheet, so some sheet-like qualities you might expect are naturally built in. Also, I think databases max out at like 50 rows before you have to click expand every time you view, which is pretty inconvenient. Additionally, it's pretty easy for the sheet to get too wide to be useful, since the Notion nav bar and indents can take up a lot of real estate left to right. Also, I don't pay for their AI service, and i hate how it constantly pops up on some key stroke i don't realize. I don't want it!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I love that Notion keeps great track of my notes as pages and provides great taxonomy built in!

Highly Flexible, Steep Learning Curve
Reviewed on Aug 04, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I like the flexibility that Notion offers through databases to track different things. It's highly adaptable for various uses like project management, planning, writing, data collection, and team working. The ability to customize databases however I want and link them together is fantastic. For instance, I've used a project database and a people database to link projects and export them into a usable portfolio. The automation feature through Notion AI helps me handle a significant portion of my work efficiently. Despite the initial complexity in setup, I've found it pretty fluid. Notion AI makes setting up new databases for personal projects even easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that getting other team members on board can be a bit hard, as the learning curve for Notion can be pretty steep. Even though I try to build workspaces to be as easy to use as possible, people often get confused about how to use properties, different views of the same database, etc. For myself, I would like the location type property and other newer ones to be able to be copied in button automations and other such operations, to lower the amount of copy/pasting I have to do when I create a new project from a proposal we've submitted and won.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps me link interconnecting data points for projects, maintaining accuracy and automating work through Notion AI. It offers flexibility with databases for project management, planning, and more, adapting to various uses.

Versatile Tool with Intuitive Interface, Needs Better Navigation
Reviewed on Aug 04, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I like using Notion for compiling everything into a single knowledge base and having different kinds of dashboards to view the same information depending on what I want to fetch. The user interface is very simple, unlike many other platforms, which makes it very easy to set up. I also appreciate the use of the voice assistant because it makes things convenient and I don't have to type continuously. The dashboard feature is also something I enjoy as I can create and use them according to my needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes hopping from one folder to another can be slightly inconvenient because they can be nested pretty deeply. I wish there was an easier way to access all my files. Also, when I tried to use Notion with Fireflies, it failed miserably, and I did not enjoy that experience at all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion to compile everything into a single knowledge base with multiple dashboards for viewing information, simplifying management compared to Excel.
