Its a great product to know the public cloud cost
What do you like best about the product?
Apptio Cloudability has various great features like tags and mapping and vendor credentials to see the advanced features and rightsizing. This is a great tool to know the public cloud cost.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing in particular. Just one issue: I don't see a way to send emails to the various report and dashboards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This is helping us to provide the public cloud cost and also helps in knowing the advanced features and rightsizing. It also organize the accounts based on tags & Labels and Account groups.

What do you like best about the product?
This tool allows us to add different dimensions (instance dimensions, miscellaneous dimensions, item dimensions, time dimensions, basic vendor dimensions) and metrics to a report, which gives more flexibility; the function of clusters is helpful for high-level details to analyse cost allocation trend
What do you dislike about the product?
not seeing any drawback on this apptio cloudability.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The function to see idle costs, which adds value to the expense management side
Apptio Cloudability a Financial Tool to optimize cloud spend
What do you like best about the product?
Cloudability Total Cost as it allows to manage the total cost across public cloud providers especially the hyperscalers. It turns increase the visibility into the cloud spend.
What do you dislike about the product?
For a Non-Tech folk such as me I found some of the terminologies used in the user interface a little difficult to understand though being from a Finance background I was able to connect the dots.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One is on providing insights into the cloud spends in a hybrid cloud environment. Another is helping organization become sensitive by exploring options of chargeback and showback, which in turn is helping towards the FinOps journey.

What do you like best about the product?
Adaptability with the changing AWS landscape and the simplicity that it brings to complex deployments.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I deployed it, we had some growing pains due to the size of our deployment and the data needs that stressed the application. They resolved those issues over time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides cost as well as utilization visibility of our AWS deployment. We used it to drive behavior in our Dev Ops organization to bring accountability to the usage of AWS. This dramatically altered the frivolous usage.
It is also a no-brainer in helping to educate teams on how to utilize AWS and leveraging the more cost-effective RIs.

It's claim of being an integrated multi-cloud platform. It's good to see that it can work across multiple public clouds.

It's sometimes difficult to identify which business units or applications are consuming what cloud services, this could have been made more intuitive

It's being used to pitch to the clients who are starting their Cloud FinOps journey

Sometimes getting the actual inventory of a cloud environment into cloudability can be difficult especially when working with may clouds.

I love how easy it makes telling our clients how much they are spending every month.

I dislike how you cannot subscribe others to a report without impersonating their profile.

It is assisting our company know how much their monthly spend is.
Cloudability - A tool to get granular insights on your costing.
What do you like best about the product?
I have used many tools to generate cost reports, but Cloudability stands apart as it gave me per-client costing hosted in the same infra. Now I know my profit margins per client instantly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would say there is scope to improve the support ticketing system. Once you log a ticket, you can not see it again.
The ticketing tool is not attached to SSO and asks username and password, but my original account is with SSO.

What do you like best about the product?
Apptio Cloudability is one of the best tools available that helps the Organisation to understand which individual cost service the cost is getting incarnated.
What do you dislike about the product?
The sharing of reports and data among teammates could be made more streamlined and less complicated.

We have multiple cloud services that are used by all the departments of the organization, so Apptio Cloudability has helped us to get all the information in one place. We were able to highlight which resource is getting overused or underused and asked the stakeholder to plan accordingly in balancing everything.
