What do you like best about the product?
How easy is to integrate different systems, we modernize a legacy application integrating the mainframe, a C# application, and EMC Captica/Documentum.
We area piloting the modernization of several smaller systems with this first one and so far is a very good experience

The limited availability of the classes given by SAG. We have to learn a lot by doing which ended up being an advantage.
You need a strong support from the vendor and and expert to guide through the many many step for the set up

The modernization of legacy applications. Staying with Software AG as a partner.

Definitely worth trying it. I would definitely recommend to try it if you have the resources.

Enterprise Database Connectivity is simple and intuitive. Webservice connectivity is quick and easy.

I would like a framework to monitor traffic. Also it would be nice to have built in transaction visibility.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Evaluate and try it out,. should it work fine for your needs, then you can purchase it. The license cost seems to be a bit higher.

What i dislike about web methods is the excess bulk it adds on to the other interfaces it interacts with.

What do you like best about the product?
webMethods is an incredible administration that can permit you to share information between various programming applications and trade messages a great deal simpler. It has a full fledged IDE that gives you access to all that you have to fulfill this. There is obviously somewhat of an expectation to absorb information. I took a shot at a group of understudies who were attempting to use webMethods and we had a little inconvenience toward the starting however by and large had a positive involvement with webMethods
What do you dislike about the product?
As a gathering we felt a general loathing for the way the IDE was setup. A portion of the elements that we would go searching for would be covered up and clouded in a convoluted interface. Others were more straightforward so it was somewhat of a give and take. Lamentably the backing for a venture of this greatness is somewhat missing and when we ran into issues and issues we thought that it was difficult to get help (We are understudies all things considered). On the other side of that since we were dealing with a school venture the application was somewhat thought up.

Easy to learn and use it for new user as well as for experienced users.
Very mature product that also has tons of room for improvement

Documentation. Many times I found it too hard to get a small configuration done by following the instructions in the documentation.

Real time integration with business partners. Real time data integration and business info sharing.

Very powerful integration tool that's expensive too. Not the easiest tool to learn to use, but once you know it, you're on your way to success.
