Easy implementation & outstanding price/performance ratio
What do you like best about the product?
We switched to NAKVIO from another unnamed Backup solution (that starts with V) and the key arguments were the outstanding price/performance ratio for our business case, the ability to run the software infrastructure on heterogenous platforms (our case QNAP NASes) and still be compatible with the latest virtualization solutions (our case a S2D HyperV Windows 2022 Cluster).
So far everything is going as well as we can expect - we also got competent support in the implementation phase. The software itself is very easy to use, however it must be said that a few details are not quite that obvious. Its running now in daily usage, and so far no problems.
I also like the frequency of updates and new features, the upcoming next version already has something that we might use in the near future (Proxmox integration).

What do you dislike about the product?
So far not really something worth mentioning - the setup process for NAS devices could be slightly more clear / easy when creating / using custom paths for the repositories. That was the only small point where we stumbled on initial deployment, and where we needed customer support. Also, there are a few details about the license model that NAKIVO could think about optimizing (mainly the relatively high costs pro TB for usage based licensing when it comes to file shares).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wanted a highly flexible backup solution for our S2D cluster, that can also manage a relatively complex chain of secondary and tertiary backup & backup copy jobs.
