What do you like best about the product?
Easy integration and deployment, Able to work well as a layer 7 network protection device, Custom filtering rules are supported which brings WAf to advance level.
What do you dislike about the product?
Doesn't support SSL offloading, Reporting and dashboard can be improved further, Support services SLA should be improved. Device capabilities can be improved further.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping us in protecting our web application with OWASP top 3.2 top rules, we able to detect and prevent most of external attack using Barracuda WAF. This improved our business application performance as well as revenue.
Great way to protect web applications via an as-a-service platform
What do you like best about the product?
Barracuda WAF-as-a-Service offers a complete package as you would expect from a WAF, but everything is SaaS-based. The WAF-as-a-Service offers very detailed configuration possibilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it is difficult to configure the WAF to be fully proof. It takes some time before all the false positives are gone. But this is the case with every WAF.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use the WAF-as-a-Service to protect all our public facing web applications. In the past we had to install a WAF on premise but now everything is updated and maintained in the cloud

It's ML algo is really great it's able to detect existing bugs in the bot...it's just like a human debugging the code...upside is the package that they offer irresistible...
What do you dislike about the product?
Thhe updates which the barracuda people provide are really slow...they do not release updates that frequently....bots in today's time are evolving fast so should the bot error detection tools

It helped me get over the mundane task of debugging....i didn't had to allocate my resource to just debug the basic code as well...company is benefitted from this...

It gives you a lot of time to relax as the deployment is completed well before your deadline :)

Barracuda WAF-as-a-Service offerred us Advanced Bot Protection that uses machine learning to continually improve its ability to spot and block bad bots and human-mimicking bots — while allowing legitimate human and bot traffic to proceed with minimal impact.

Robust and Best in Class WAF solution with great out of the box security!
Overall very satisfied with product capability in WAF space, Product real time signature updates, AI/ML capabilities. I love the free vulnerability scanning and auto-remediation capabilities that product offers out of the box along with unmetered DDoS, bot mitigation capabilities. "Very transparent" in pricing and usage as well. I called into customer Support for a walk through and they were top notch too.

This was so easy to implement, but more effective than other services I've used in the past. Up in running in a matter of minutes. I even utilized their free vulnerability scan on all my applications before and after putting them behind the service.
Our team evaluated a few different options but we chose to go with Barracuda’s offering because of the ease of use and quick setup. Powerful security without having to spend hours configuring profiles or going through false positives. Highly recommend it.
Security- Fast and Simple
I really like this product for web application firewall (WAF). It works really well and lowers the bar for entry into the often complicated world of web application security. Note that this is "WAF as a Service" and not a WAF appliance.
Setting up a WAF "application" was a breeze. You specify the domain name and the IP of the origin server and WAFaaS does the rest. It will even do Let's Encrypt certificates for you. (Thank you!) The WAFaaS has summary reports and detailed logging. I like the fact that it has default security settings to get you started. From there you can customize as needed.
If you are serious about web security but need something that doesn't require an advanced degree then I highly recommend that you give this WAF a try.
Simple and Quick to setup!
Barracuda saas solution solved our issues with TLS enforcement for several dev and prod apps. The lets encrypt feature is nice even though we didnt use it. Very easy to get an app roll up, protected and verified blocking attacks. The logs showed all requests and extensively logged each denial. Would highly recommend!
