Harness Review
What do you like best about the product?
You can customise the environments in which you want to roll out the changes. We use Terraform and Harness helps in pointing out the mistakes. Being on user end rather than the peson actually setting up the environment it has been a good experience so far.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can get complex to get a hold of at the beginning. Especially you are not a developer and had been unaware of the applications that promotes CI/CD.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps in rolling out the desired changes for the AWS accounts I am responsible for. Helps in identifying the issues decently.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dynaimc feature enable/disablement
Great costumer support!
What do you like best about the product?
The Customer Success program really helps us utilize Split. The support functions and contact persons. And it's easy to use for the developers and analysts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really special, but the pricing model is a but unclear.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Distributed Experimentation; A/B testing at scale.
Harness Continuous Delivery - a Great Product
What do you like best about the product?
When we first started looking for a new Continuous Delivery product, we decided on Harness for three main reasons - first, it could accelerate our move to the cloud while still supporting our brownfield on-prem applications. Second, it was very secure, since all communication orginates at the delegate. Third, it allwoed us to move configuration out of the product UI and into our GitHub repo. It succeeds wonderfully on all counts.
We also got a very effective and helpful team to support our efforts from the vendor. They seem legitimately concerned about our success with the product and have helped us at alls tages of the implementation. It has been a breath of fresh air compared to other vendors we have worked with.
The product is great, the support team is great. I would give Harness a hearty recommendation for anyone consideering buying it.

What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly there is not mcuh to dislike, here. The product is solid and well thought out. I guess if I had one complaint it is that in some cases features show up in the manager without us having much prep time, so more awareness of their roadmap would help, but in the cases where it has caused issues they have moved quickly to help resolve it, and some of that can be attributed to the fact that we bought SaaS instead of going with a slef-hosted solution for the Manager.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Deployments to mmulticloud infrastructure.
Developer self-service driving a huge reduction in support requests.
Faster deployment times with less overhead for developers and support staff.
Well-constructed RBAC model

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use when using SSO integration with our company's account.
What do you dislike about the product?
The complex terms when we just want to use an AB test. The Rust sdk doesn't exist.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
AB test and feature flagging.
Intuitive to use and fast to implement
What do you like best about the product?
There are SDKs for most popular languages and a great collection of guides to help implementing it.
It's all overshadowed, though, by the excellent Split Arcade. It's definitely the best way to learn extensively about using a product in a self-serve manner.
It's all overshadowed, though, by the excellent Split Arcade. It's definitely the best way to learn extensively about using a product in a self-serve manner.
What do you dislike about the product?
The integrations, while plenty, seem very opinionated and, sometimes, limited. For example, we wanted to use the Amplitude integration, but it ended up not working at all for our needs and we had to integrate Amplitude with Split on our end, instead.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wanted to enable a certain feature for a subset of our customers to do phased rollouts, which was not possible with the way our tech was set up at the time. Split has also allowed us to deliver in increments and enable the code at a specific time, so we don't have to time our releases to specific time windows that suit product.
Flexable CD for achieving compliance requirements
What do you like best about the product?
Harness has help us move off a homegrown CD solution, to one that achieves our change management compliance requirements, while retaining limited human interaction CD. Terraform managment of pipelines and services makes implementation across all our dev teams a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because Harness is a common framework, there are customization limitations. The Harness team however seams to strive to resolve or limnit these limitations when we, as a client, request changes or features to help us implement our requirments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Harness has allowed us to implement change managment compliance across our entire dev deployment stack.
Split allowed us to do major system rollouts withought causing much delays
What do you like best about the product?
Versitality. You can use Split for any project or system rollouts.
What do you dislike about the product?
We had a few cases were we had to manually add accounts that should have been migrated in split.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a huge trader base. We use split to ensure all our traders are not affected by system updates or config changes.
Split is one of the best solutions on the market I have used so far
What do you like best about the product?
I like Split because it's easy to set up and maintain and has a free tier that suits all of my needs. And the iOS SDK is stable enough, I didn't have any issues with it so far.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I am missing during my daily work is there is no API access on a free tier. But if I remember correctly, paid tiers have this option so I don't really complain about it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm mainly using Split for feature toggles, this way I'm able to continuously deploy new test builds without waiting for other peers in my team to review my work.
Harness CCM has been a game-changer for reducing our spend in AWS
What do you like best about the product?
With Harness CCM, we've been able to see an average of 80% cost savings on the infrastructure in AWS we have configured with auto-stopping. Prior to adopting CCM, this infrastructure was on 24/7 - extremely inefficient. Now, these instances are available on-demand and some instances stay dormant for days or weeks at a time.
The Harness CCM Dashboard is user-friendly and provides data directly from AWS that helps us to understand how much we are saving.

What do you dislike about the product?
We are currently working with the Harness team to research how we can double down and surface even more actionable data within the CCM module.
We'd like to be able to see which specific traffic may be keeping instances awake that are configure with auto-stopping, and to pull status indicators from the CCM Dashboard into our internal tooling so other verticals within our organization can see the status of our infrastructure in realtime.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Harness CCM has been pivotal in bringing down our spend in AWS by making instances available on-demand with auto-stopping. End users can easily access their environments the same way they always do while infrastructure comes online quickly and quietly in the background.
