Easily the biggest bang for buck of any resource monitoring tool we have tried
What do you like best about the product?
It just works, out of the box it will give you more metrics that you have ever dreamed of AND give you sensible alerts for those metrics.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you are running it at scale on your own infrastructure (hosting your own parent node) then documentation is lacking and some (small features) are missing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Netdata to monitor and alert on resources of servers in our infrastructure. We really struggled to find a solution for our MSP. We manage hundreds of Linux servers across many operating systems, services and providers.

Reliable Monitoring with Great Usability and Support
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Netdata is that they actively listen to client pain points and make a real effort to resolve or address them to the client’s satisfaction.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I dislike is that Netdata sometimes updates the agent automatically without prior notice. It would be better if clients received an alert before the update so they can prepare accordingly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Netdata helps us monitor system performance in real time, detect issues quickly, and reduce downtime. It gives us clear insights into resource usage, which improves troubleshooting and overall system stability.

I value how easy it is to deploy the stack and use the preconfigured dashboards.

There’s little to complain about. At times, the interface can seem overloaded with elements, but that’s to be expected — when using a monitoring stack, you need to have a clear idea of your intended use.

Its super easy to integrate and implement. It does not take more than a few minutes.

Habve't yet had unpleasant experiene with them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Netdata provides real-time stats on my server as well as historical data, helping me pinpoint why my server was running slowly. Initially, I had no clue what was causing the problem, but installing Netdata took only a few minutes, and it quickly guided me toward identifying and resolving the infrastructure issues.

While Netdata is a robust monitoring tool, its integration documentation could be more user-friendly to accommodate users with varying levels of technical expertise. Additionally, certain compatibility issues, such as with Litespeed webserver detection on specific server setups, highlight room for improvement in ensuring broad system compatibility.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Netdata addresses the critical problems of complex monitoring setup, scalability issues, and the intensive time investment required for manual configuration and maintenance of monitoring systems. By automating service discovery and providing real-time, granular insights into system performance, Netdata significantly reduces the operational overhead associated with monitoring a large and growing infrastructure. This automation and efficiency have been incredibly beneficial, allowing my team and me to focus on strategic initiatives and business growth rather than being bogged down by the day-to-day management of monitoring tools. The benefit extends beyond time savings, enhancing our ability to quickly identify and resolve issues, thereby improving our service reliability and customer satisfaction.

So easy to setup, literally minutes.

Could use some more onboarding into their alerts and ML.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Netdata is able to show my instant stats on my serve, but also a history. This allows me to understand why my server is acting slow. I originally had no idea what my issue was. Netdata was installed in minutes, and was quickly able to point me in the right direction to help me find my infrastructure issues and ultimately solve it.
It's what the Windows Task Manager wants to be when it grows up!

For free, this is absolutely the best system info solution on the planet. 90 seconds or less and you're able to get full system performance insights.

Nothing, I can't find a single fault with NetData.

Netdata is allowing me to keep tabs on system performance for all of our Linux infrastructure. It's easy to see everything in one pane of glass.

Netdata is whole visibility of hundreds of servers and clusters, any issue and am getting notified on time, with netdata there is downtime for clients
