Efficient Structural Analysis but Challenging for Beginners

    Reviewed on Aug 06, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I use Simcenter 3D for structural analysis and it saves us more time in solving problems. I like that it offers more than a 50% reduction in physical prototype cycles, which is a huge benefit. The geometry editing seamlessly ties to CAD associativity, which helps me with one interface to run structural, thermal, and flow analyses efficiently.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find Simcenter 3D to have a steep learning curve and high cost of entry. The user interface is more dense for new people, coupled with high licensing costs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simcenter 3D saves us time in solving, reduces physical prototype cycles by over 50%, integrates seamlessly with NX for geometry editing tied to CAD associativity, and helps me run structural, thermal, and flow analyses in one interface.
