One of my favorite vendors of all time
What do you like best about the product?
Iru is easy to use and the customer support when running into questions is always super eager to help. They're also extremely knowledgeable about the product and able to answer questions not just how you do things, but why you'd do things and offer other options and let you know why.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not really anything I dislike about it specifically
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're a very small IT team that runs lean and it lets us manage a lot of devices efficiently
Fast Setup, Strong Mac Self-Service—But Windows and One-Off Tasks Need Work
What do you like best about the product?
What I liked best were a few key things. First, the setup was easy—we were able to get devices enrolled within minutes. I also really liked the Blueprint design and its conditional logic, which makes it straightforward to set up user self-service. The self-service portal is another highlight, since it’s nice not having to babysit every install request. Finally, the built-in App Library is exhaustive (for Mac). Customer support is also very responsive. If the AI agent can't provide an answer they'll connect to you a real human.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few shortcomings we’ve noticed. Windows support still has a long way to go, especially when you compare it to the features available on Mac. There also isn’t an easy way to run a one-off command or open a remote terminal. Finally, making one-off changes can feel cumbersome because of the blueprint and app library setup.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were using another MDM platform before Iru. The Iru team was very helpful with our migration. They were able to provide runbooks and scripts to help make the cutover easier.
Great UI and Timely Account Management Service
What do you like best about the product?
The Iru product features for Mac MDM is good and the user interface is intuitive and user friendly. Account management is proactive and timely; and willing to work closely with us.
What do you dislike about the product?
MDM for Windows is not a competitive product as yet so we have to use an alternative solution for Windows.
Pricing was high. It required negotiations and comparison against competitors to make it more competitive with market offering

It helps us with the management of our laptops
Simple and reliable Apple device management
What do you like best about the product?
IRU has been a solid solution for managing Apple devices in our organization. The platform is intuitive, easy to deploy, and the automation features make device configuration and maintenance much more efficient.
The interface is clear and policies can be applied quickly, which saves a lot of time for IT teams. Documentation and resources are also helpful when setting up new configurations.

What do you dislike about the product?
That said, some advanced customization options could be a bit more flexible. Overall, it’s been a very positive experience and a good choice for organizations looking to simplify Apple device management.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
IRU helps us centralize the management of our Apple devices and automate many tasks that would otherwise require manual configuration. This reduces the time spent on device setup, software deployment, and policy enforcement. As a result, our IT team can manage devices more efficiently and ensure that all machines stay compliant with our security and configuration standards.
Effortless Device Management with Powerful Endpoints
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the blueprint function and the ability to do conditional logic based on different attributes of different devices. That's been really helpful for us so far. I also really like the ability to add new software to the library catalog, which we can then add to the app store that's available on people's laptops so that they can easily install stuff without having to go out onto the Internet and do it themselves.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I could think of is the ability to add our own custom software to the catalog. I believe right now, we have to request it to be done on the Iru side, but sometimes it'd be nice if we could just do it ourselves. Especially for, like, a homegrown application that we develop in house.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Iru for endpoint management and threat detection. It lets us manage many devices on one platform, provides endpoint security, and helps manage software across our laptops with ease.
One-Stop Solution for Device Management
What do you like best about the product?
I really like that Iru is a one-stop shop for managing all of our devices. It's very user friendly, and I didn't need any specialized training. I was able to follow their documentation to create a well-built system for our business. The ease of use, alongside cost and customer service, was a big factor for switching from Hexnode. The initial setup was very easy. I also appreciate how Iru helps us manage app control on iPads and Macs with its blueprint system, scan for vulnerabilities, implement patch management, and integrate Google Workspace for a secure login system.
What do you dislike about the product?
Windows is still a new feature in their tool belt and is continuously being upgraded. I'm looking forward to additional features that they are adding for that platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Iru helps us manage app control for iPads and Macs with blueprints, scans for vulnerabilities, implements patch management, and integrates Google Workspace for secure logins.
One of the Most Intuitive MDM Solutions—Up and Running in Days
What do you like best about the product?
This is one of the most intuitive MDM solutions I’ve ever used. Unlike other MDM solutions, it required very little training, and we were up and running in a matter of days.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be much better if the Threats and Vulnerability modules were included in the main package, rather than offered only as additional add-on modules.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
IRU helped us move all of our standalone Apple devices into a managed environment, and set policies that align with our company’s security requirements using out of the box configurations.
Streamlined Device Management with Outstanding Support
What do you like best about the product?
My experience with Iru is very positive, especially because of the responsiveness and attention to detail provided. I especially value the smooth coordination and the consistent support, which make everything work efficiently with Iru. We switched to Iru for a more streamlined experience and easier device management compared to Intune. The initial setup was very easy and quick.
What do you dislike about the product?
occasional minor delay in updtes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Iru solves device management issues, streamlines the experience, provides responsiveness, and ensures smooth coordination and consistent support.
Rock-Solid macOS Management That Just Works
What do you like best about the product?
We have been using Iru for macOS management for the past few years, and the biggest thing for us is reliability. It just works. New hires receive a Mac that is ready on day one with the right apps and security settings already in place. Updates and policy changes happen in the background without creating disruption. For a team that is mostly Mac based, that consistency has made a real difference
What do you dislike about the product?
There was a bit of a learning curve early on as we refined our policies and figured out the best way to structure things for our environment. It took some upfront time to get everything dialed in. Once it was set up properly though, it has been very steady.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before Iru, managing Macs felt reactive. Manual setups, chasing updates, and double checking configurations were taking more time than we wanted. Now provisioning is automated, security policies are enforced consistently, and we are not constantly putting out small fires. For a lean IT team in a regulated biotech company, that time savings and improved control over our macOS environment has been extremely valuable.
Clear, Real-Time Tracking That Boosts Efficiency and Accountability
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Iru is the tracking feature. It gives clear, real-time visibility into activities and progress, which makes monitoring tasks and workflows much easier. Having everything tracked in one place reduced follow-ups, improved accountability, and helped me spot issues early. It noticeably improved efficiency and saved time compared to manual tracking methods.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tracking feature could be improved in terms of customization and performance. In some cases, it lacks flexible filters and advanced reporting options, which makes it harder to analyze data for specific time ranges or use cases. Occasional delays in updates also reduce real-time accuracy. Adding more configurable tracking views, faster refresh times, and exportable reports would significantly enhance the overall experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Iru solves the problem of fragmented and manual tracking by centralizing all tracking activities in one platform. It improves visibility, reduces the risk of missing updates, and makes it easier to monitor progress in real time. As a result, I spend less time on follow-ups and manual reporting, decisions are made faster, and overall workflow efficiency has improved.
