About The iRODS Consortium

The iRODS Consortium was created to ensure that iRODS data management software continues to grow as free open source software. The Consortium works to standardize the definition, development, and release of iRODS-based technologies and to expand the adoption of iRODS-based technologies by maintaining an open-source distribution of iRODS fit for mission-critical production applications. The iRODS Consortium is hosted by RENCI, a research institute at the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill, in partnership with the DICE Center at UNC.
