JSR Corporation Deploys Cohesity on AWS for Global Data Security and Management

With a mission to ensure better sleep through its ultimate blackout solution, customized shade manufacturer, UBlockout, was looking for a way to standardize and scale its operations as it expanded in the United States. It wanted to unify processes across ecommerce, manufacturing, quality assurance (QA) and customer-onboarding before starting operations in its new, Dallas-based factory. UBlockout turned to AWS Partner TilliT, to unify operations and drive manufacturing efficiencies. As a result, UBlockout has scaled the manufacturing and delivery of its high-quality blackout shades to achieve a design production run-rate of 100 shades per shift at its Dallas facility and a system that can be replicated for its USA and international growth plans.

Global milking equipment company DeLaval worked with AWS Partner Knowit to build a serverless platform on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and deliver new digital services. It developed its first application to provide cow behavior analysis using Internet of Things (IoT) sensor data. The solution provides farmers with near-real-time monitoring to track animal wellbeing, when a cow is in heat, and where each one is positioned on the farm. Knowit optimized DeLaval's AWS use, cutting the cost per cow by 75 percent. Farmers now have an affordable application to manage their herd—and achieve more when faced with limited resources.

In the coming years, Georgia-Pacific (GP) aims to deploy and operationalize enterprise artificial intelligence (AI) applications to radically improve their operations' efficiency, reliability, and sustainability. Collaborating with AWS Partner C3 AI, GP was able to develop—and scale—sophisticated, AI-based systems that rely on large-scale, diverse data sets and various machine learning (ML) techniques. With C3 AI’s AWS competencies in data and analytics, ML, and IoT, and leveraging technology on AWS, GP is enabling the use of AI for data integration and advanced analytics techniques at a scale that has led to a 5% improvement in overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), and 100s of hours of avoided downtime.

Cleaning equipment manufacturer Kärcher worked with AWS Partner Zoi to migrate and modernize 70 percent of its entire IT landscape to Amazon Web Services (AWS) in just 7 months. Using AWS, the company has cut operational costs by 20 percent and only pays for the cloud resources it uses. It can now deploy new workloads on a global level in hours instead of months and can quickly set up new regions to provision new equipment using AWS Regions. Kärcher uses multiple AWS accounts globally to maximize security, remain compliant with local data regulations, and keep round-trip times to a minimum.
