I uploaded a certificate for use with Amazon CloudFront, but the certificate isn't available in the Custom SSL Certificate drop-down menu in the CloudFront console.

When you use the IAM API to upload an SSL certificate to IAM for use with CloudFront, be sure to add "/cloudfront/" to the path for your distribution name. Otherwise, the certificate is not available in the Custom SSL Certificate drop-down menu in the CloudFront console.

If you didn't include "/cloudfront/" in the path for your distribution name when you originally uploaded it, run the following command from the IAM API to add it:

aws iam update-server-certificate --server-certificate-name CertificateName --new-path /cloudfront/DistributionName/

Note: Allow 20 minutes for this change to propagate to all regions.
