I want to change the default burst credit behavior for each of my Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) burstable performance instance families. How can I do this?

Resolution

For steps on how to change default burst credit behavior using the Amazon EC2 console and the AWS Command Line Interface, see Set the default credit specification for the account.

Changing the default credit specification doesn't affect the credit specification for existing running or stopped instances.

Note: You can modify the default credit specification for an instance family once in a rolling 5-minute period. You can make modifications up to four times in a rolling 24-hour period.
