Michael shows you
how to manage your
EC2 service limits

I want to create more Amazon EC2 resources, such as EC2 instances, Amazon Elastic Block Store (Amazon EBS) storage, or Elastic IP addresses, but I've reached my limit. How do I increase my limit?

You can request an increase to your EC2 service limits through the AWS Support dashboard by choosing Service Limit Increase.

EC2 service limits affect one Region at a time, so request service limit increases in each AWS region where you need more resources. To request multiple service limit increases at the same time, first complete one limit increase request, and then choose Add another request.

Requests for increases in EC2 service limits are subject to review by AWS engineering teams. Proactively manage and monitor your service limits as you scale up, because resources won't be available immediately after you submit a limit increase request.

For a list of other AWS services and their limits, see AWS Service Limits.
