I’m looking for a specific tag or Amazon Web Services (AWS) resource using resource groups, and I can’t see it. Why?

Make sure that you have applied the tags to the resources, that the tag information you’re looking for matches the tags that you have applied, and that you have waited long enough after applying the tags for the tag data to have propagated (up to 48 hours). For more information, see Applying Tags.

If you’re still not able to see the tags, you might have limited permissions to access tag data. If you’re signing in to the AWS Management Console as an AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) user, check with your account administrator to make sure that you have the necessary permissions to access the resource group itself, as well as permissions to access the services and resources that comprise the resource group. For more information about Resource Groups permissions, see Obtaining Permissions for Resource Groups.

If you have all required permissions to use Resource Groups, check your resource group's configuration and ensure that the resources you are searching for have the correct tags.
